Answer about the gate fees - no, if you are doing just a Hyperdrive, you do not get a refund. Have to pay the $25 entry fee on top of your Hyperdrive fee.
Matt, not sure about Friday dinner. Don't plan anything around us officials. Those of us (me, Rex, Justin) who help set up on Friday tend to work 'til "whenever" and that makes planning for food a challenge. I'm waiting on my new manfriend to come down that day as well, so not sure when we'll be getting dinner.
Anyone who needs to know where things are or how the weekend works, feel free to call or text - including on Saturday. Happy to give golf-cart rides around the event if you're on my way somewhere.

I'll be there for the day on Saturday for sure. Possibly the night. Not sure. Planning to get there early Saturday morning to beat the traffic and sneak my car into the paddock. Gonna try and leave MD by 7:30 am.
If you save 2 tabs from a monster can you get $5 off entry fee at the gate for anyone that didn't pre order tickets.

Meh, I have a space with VBD. Last year they were only checking for stickers on vehicles going in/out of the paddock so I think I'll be ok.

This is why I don't want to abandon my car out in Overflow Lot Z12. I don't want to pimp it around the paddock, I just don't feel particularly comfortable letting it out of my sight during Hyperfest. I'm trying not to think how many fat rednecks will mate on it or how many beer cans will be slung at it while it's out there in purgatory.
My plan is to try and park near a much more expensive, brightly colored car to act as a deterrent. :dunno:
