Check the openbox/outlet section @ Crutchfield, Good deals can be had.

Avoid components. It sounds like you just want an easy plug + play solution. Components requires multiple speakers/box. I had some, not worth the money unless they are going to be seriously amped.

Pioneer makes EXCELLENT 2 way and 3 way speakers in the low-end of the market. Better than Polk or Alpine in my experience off a head unit. Jeff may be able to jump in and make some suggestions as we both worked in car audio install for a while during college. I personally am partial to Pioneer/Alpine head units. My Avic Z2 has been strong for 7+ years now and is really nice with the bluetooth/NAV/sirius/dvd/ipod etc.

Sure you don't want a sub? If you want any bass you need one. For every octave you go down, the speaker has to move twice as much which is why subs have bigger speakers.

The infinity basslink is only 170ish and it's self amped and easy to install. Good amount of bass without being ridiculous.

Let me know if you want to meet sometime so you can hear it in my car.

No i don't need a sub. The bass i get without a sub is enough for me... but i'd still like to hear it Big Grin

Let me know, I live downtown so I can meet whenever. You're welcome to drive the M3 as well.

You are a good human. How do you nominate for the Nobel Peace prize Wink

I have some of those 6x9 rear deck adapters, and probably speakers that will fit in them. They came out of Mike D's car I believe. I'll look tonight and can bring 'em when we all meet up at Quaker Steak.

Yes! That would be great actually!

Their install prices are ridiculous though... if you don't buy from them.

Install prices? Do that ish yourself!

Re: Montreal Blue 1996 BMW 328is - Sully - 02-07-2014

Read all the reviews and features and performance stuff on crutchfield, then go find that same thing on eBay from a reputable (use common sense here) seller and get it for usually half as much. I'm talking new in box items too, not people used stuff

Yup! I always check multiple websites for the same product and buy the cheapest one  #struggle

I normally find myself buying from sonicelectronix, prices are usually pretty low and they do returns pretty easily.

Yea i have used them in the past I believe through their eBay store and thought they were fine.

I have actually been surprised lately that crutchfield had a better price than some other vendors because their shipping was free..saved a few bucks on my last order

I just couldn't keep quiet, sooo went to campus and north 38 to pick up friends and have some fun. I have a better idea of how this drifting thing works now

My lil snow warrior!

Just as good as any plow haha

- I ran every red light cause I didn't wanna stop
- I went up an entire hill sideways
- I held four steady drifts
- Almost ended up in a ditch/sidewalk/curb the other 10 drift attempts..almost!
- Three Michelins and one Goodyear will get you through the snow!
- I had a fuckin blast, snow is the best

Re: Montreal Blue 1996 BMW 328is - Jake - 02-13-2014

Momentum is your best friend! ASC really hurts how these perform in snow, IMO. I would try getting around without - you may find it a bit easier.

Re: Montreal Blue 1996 BMW 328is - *insertusernamehere* - 02-13-2014

Haha, mine doesn't even have ASC, yo

Weird, I thought it was standard on all 96+. Oh well, you're better off without.

Also, I found those speaker adapters and some speakers. Will bring next week. You may has.

Re: Montreal Blue 1996 BMW 328is - *insertusernamehere* - 02-13-2014

Wait..AND speakers? That work? Thank you thank you!
