Re: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 03-10-2015

I'm sure its just another publicity stunt.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Senor_Taylor - 03-11-2015

From what I've heard, he punched a producer. This seems more in line with the shit show that's currently happening.

i don't know if you intended this, but i totally read that in Clarkson's voice, especially with his trademark "in the world" inflection :lol:

its all hot air, honestly. the BBC has to write up infractions like this in order to maintain a professional appearance and appear in control of their own franchise. realistically, they'll never do anything to damage the show. its worth 1.5 billion, and the majority reason for such success is the on-air relationship of the hosts. Clarkson is popular specifically because he isn't afraid to speak his mind and usually does it humorously. pull Clarkson from the show and its all over.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Tyler.M - 03-11-2015

All of the issues with TG seem to have started when BBC worldwide began producing the show in 2012. I'm going to guess they've been pushing hard to make changes and Jeremy doesn't like that too much. Jeremy could easily have his own show though, since Top Gear is usually the Jeremy Clarkson being an idiot for an hour and making up nonsensical metaphors show.

I actually started looking at the latest CR-Z...until I realized it was a hybrid. :vomit:

CRZ has been a hybrid from the start.

Next Honda CR-Z to ditch hybrid, get 2.0 turbo

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/news/a25252/next-honda-cr-z-to-get-20-turbo-be-marketed-as-civic/">http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/fu ... -as-civic/</a><!-- m -->

Re: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 03-12-2015

That is kinda cool. The Civic CR-Z though? Seems kind of confusing unless they plan to ditch the Civic SI name all together.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 03-12-2015

Rumor is that Japan will get a hybrid CR-Z with the smaller turbo engines and USDM will get a non-hybrid. CR-Z supposedly will go to 2+2 and the Civic Coupe will die but I seriously doubt that Honda would kill the Civic Coupe. If they did, they'd have to offer multiple CR-Z trims to make up for the gap.

This car may show up at NYIAS next month but I'm not betting on it. If we do get a CR-Z with a 280 hp+ 2.0L turbo I'm thinking that it won't be full of all the Type-R goodies (adaptive suspension, brembos, etc). That would be too hardcore for the average sport compact buyer unless they had active dampers that had a comfort mode, which would add to the price.

The other thing is, where does this put the Si? I'm hoping it doesn't mean they're dropping the Si from the lineup, but again that seems unlikely. Maybe give the Si a 2.0T at a lower state of tune, then the CR-Z could get the full 306 hp 2.0Torque-Steerer.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Kaan - 03-12-2015

feels like a new CRX to me. same as the old civic si but different.
