Re: How bout them skins? - Evan - 03-17-2010

anyone else surprised by the lack of moves the skins have made? Lots of good o lineman have been signed the past week or so by other teams and the skins havent appeared to even be interested

Re: How bout them skins? - Mike - 03-18-2010

you don't need an o-line when the ball is in sexy rexy's hands. just chuck that shit.

Re: How bout them skins? - Apoc - 04-04-2010

McNabb? Interesting.

Re: How bout them skins? - Evan - 04-04-2010

for a high 2nd round pick.

words fail me to describe the fail.

Re: How bout them skins? - Ryan T - 04-04-2010

I'm with Evan. For a 3rd or 4th round pic, I guess I could stomach it, but for near the top of the 2nd round, there is way too much potential talent out there.

Same old.

Re: How bout them skins? - Maengelito - 04-04-2010

hey, they had to do something quick to continue their offseason winning streak. so I didn't realize that Washington is now the new retirement home in the NFL

I'll take McNabb over Campbell any day.

As my favorite sports blog put it, with the Skins signing McNabb, Willie Parker, and Larry Johnson, the Redskins are poised to win the 2004 Superbowl.

me too, but that wasnt the trade.

Ill take Campbell and a high 2nd round pick over McNabb any day.

Re: How bout them skins? - Apoc - 04-05-2010

Rumor has it they offered Haynesworth and the Eagles said no.

I think the Eagles got the better end of the deal, because I have a feeling McNabb wouldn't/won't resign with either team after this year. I guess the Eagles figured he wouldn't be enough of a threat for one year in the division. The Skins can make the most of it by keeping him around to mentor a young QB (that isn't Campbell).

It could be worse, you could have traded a 1st, 3rd and 6th for Roy Williams.

Re: How bout them skins? - DavidM - 04-05-2010

We'll see, ESPN was reporting it was highly likely that an extension would happen at some point. Either way I don't really know what to think of this deal, obviously it makes us a better team in September, but I'm not sure it was the best long term deal for the team.

Re: How bout them skins? - WRXtranceformed - 04-06-2010

Watching the McNabb press conference now. He says he's excited to be there but he doesn't really seem like it. He was definitely bitter about being traded. I think it's a good pick for the Skins but I feel like they might have sold their souls a little to get him.

Re: How bout them skins? - Evan - 04-22-2010

Williams over Okung? ummm ok....

at least it was O line

Re: How bout them skins? - DavidM - 04-23-2010

From what I've read he has more upside and is a better fit in the zone blocking scheme. I won't judge too quickly because they did address what we really need and hopefully the new staff knows what they're doing.

Re: How bout them skins? - Mike - 04-23-2010

The only person who impressed me besides Suh was Berry. We weren't going to get Suh and we didn't need Berry, but there's a school of thought that you ought to pick talent over need... it seems to have historically worked out better. Soooo... I could care less about what we got, but OL is definitely needed most so I suppose we did as best we could.

Re: How bout them skins? - WRXtranceformed - 09-12-2010

Woooo big win! Redskins in all honesty didn't look that great, but I like McNabb behind the wheel and Shanahan's son calling the plays. They REALLY need to work on their hands though gosh, they dropped so many great passes AND some pretty straightforward interception attempts. And by blowing that assignment on Austin they almost gave the game away. But a win is a win!

Re: How bout them skins? - Evan - 09-12-2010

lol...so didnt deserve that win.

but at least Hall has turned out to be agreat DB

Re: How bout them skins? - DavidM - 09-12-2010

It's not like the cowboys deserved it either....
