- Madden - 05-09-2009 two small updates. I redid the front mesh because it didnt look 100% perfect. Also ripped off the vinyl 'LOTUS' lettering on the back and replaced it with a badge... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
- Goodspeed - 05-09-2009 Looks great Ryan, and those pics are insane. Looking forward to seeing more of this thing next semester. I really, really wouldn't mind one of these someday; yours and other examples have really put these in my sights lately...hmmm.... Re: Project Elise - Madden - 08-09-2009 spent my time getting taking care of some stuff that was really bugging me. Filled the license plate holes that the idiot first owner drilled as well as getting the scrapes on the bottom filled. I also had a crack in the fron that got re worked, and resprayed the hole front to get it looking good as new. Also put new cams in becuase the original ones were looking pretty beat up. The headlight covers also got replaced with some new ones that werent as scratched up. I also managed to destroy my front splitter on a squirrel, so a new splitter is in the mail along with some carbon interior parts. hopefully itll be back together before school starts ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: Project Elise - Madden - 10-05-2009 new cf interior. i have more carbon on the way, only its big time dry carbon autoclaved goodness ![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: Project Elise - fiveoh2go - 10-05-2009 IMO the CF gives the interior a finished, completed look. Nice. Re: Project Elise - JustinG - 10-05-2009 yea the CF definately makes a difference, tastefully dresses it up on the inside. what was there? plastic or alumnium trim? Re: Project Elise - Madden - 10-05-2009 I always like the carbon door sills in carrera gts and lambos so when i say the pronounced sills in this car it was something i really wanted to do. before it was all plastic. Matt, the guy that did it is on SVTP and is working on a lot of terminator parts right now so I'm anxious to see what those look like.
Re: Project Elise - JustinG - 10-05-2009 wow, that really does look damn sexy compared to the stock photo Re: Project Elise - ScottyB - 10-05-2009 i never knew i could like the elise interior even more....mmmmm Re: Project Elise - ViPER1313 - 10-05-2009 Madden Wrote:Also put new cams in becuase the original ones were looking pretty beat up.What caused the cam wear? How many miles does your car have on it? What does he go by on SVTP? I'll look him up. Re: Project Elise - DavidL - 10-05-2009 I still want to do a photoshoot! As I have said every time.. looks awesome! Re: Project Elise - WRXtranceformed - 10-05-2009 That carbon fiber looks awesome man. I know this sounds weird, but you might consider some kind of clear protectant, almost like a car bra on it. The sills in my car get a little beat up from people getting in and out and lightly scraping their shoes on it, you can imagine how easily that could happen to the carbon fiber. Let me get my new diffuser and exhaust on, I really appreciate it, I would love to do a shoot! Re: Project Elise - Madden - 10-05-2009 WRXtranceformed Wrote:That carbon fiber looks awesome man. Just waiting 30days for the clear to degass before I put it on  fiveoh2go Wrote:Madden Wrote:Matt, the guy that did it is on SVTP and is working on a lot of terminator parts right now so I'm anxious to see what those look like. his name is 'CFCreations' http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/pics-videos-buffet-149/613645-my-carbon-fiber-pieces-almost-done.html Re: Project Elise - .RJ - 10-05-2009 Car looks great - good job

Re: Project Elise - fiveoh2go - 10-05-2009 Thanks for the link. What made you go with the black CF? Quickly scanning the SVTP link I saw that he's offering a black/orange CF weave.....could be interesting. Either way, your car looks killer. 8) Re: Project Elise - Steve85 - 10-06-2009 Wow, that CF really looks at home in the minimalist interior. Re: Project Elise - Evan - 10-08-2009 Fair warning: If you leave your car unattended at next spring's car show, your CF interior will be gone. |
