nah, the caps are killing the caps. They got all sorts of traffic in front of the net in game 3 but no one was even close to any rebound attempt in game 4. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggg

any real impact? doesnt seem like these types of players are as needed in the playoffs when you try harder not to get penalty minutes.

Yeah if anything I thought it could have been considered a late, but the hit itself I thought was clean.
Really this effects them more so for the next series (assuming there is one) than the end of this one. Avery hasn't really been that aggressive towards the caps, and Brashear doesn't really contribute on offense, so he hasn't really been needed this series. Playing the Pens or the Devils could be another story though.
Really they just need to win tonight. The first goal is going to be huge, but I think they'll have learned from last year and put away the blue shirts at home. Here's to a blowout in game seven 8)

What a fantastic goal by Federov! Great job on a come from behind in the series and the game. Varlamov looks like the real deal and as long as the caps don't come up on another goalie thats playing out of his mind I like our chances against anyone!

I used to root for the Pens when The Hampton Admirals were their feeder team (which was local where I grew up) but that was a long time ago.
(btw Ollie played for the Admirals)
the pens do seem like the stronger team. anyone know what the regular season series record between the 2 teams is?
