- HAULN-SS - 06-28-2007 oh yeah..does your truck have a locking differential? if not, thats something I dont like about it - .RJ - 06-28-2007 No, it doesnt lock. 3.55 LSD. - PDenbigh - 06-28-2007 Andy Wrote:Ford rednecks protect their trucks like their family
- ScottyB - 06-28-2007 LOL, well played - Dave - 06-28-2007 stop shitting up my thread! :-) While an ambulance would be really cool, I've already gone the route of the 20-year old $2k truck and I'm really hoping to get something relatively nice. I'd rather spring the extra $5-10k to get something made this decade with more amenities. It will probably serve as a DD for a little while as well, so I need to keep that in mind. Don't get me wrong it's a good idea, but I already tried it and find myself wanting more. I also don't see that being capable of pulling 2 cars and a trailer without some big upgrades. - HAULN-SS - 06-28-2007 -cough- 5 - 10k? diesel? Yours was used and cost $10k.Andy Wrote:Your truck ain't nice. can you compute the difference between that and a blingy Titan with a big payment that has gone only 8,000 miles in a year and a half? thats my point, dont get all butthurt because you love your truck. I dont regret getting it for a second but I wouldnt say that its the smartest route and for most people getting a cheaper truck is smarter if its not a DD. - .RJ - 06-28-2007 Evan Wrote:can you compute the difference between that and a blingy Titan with a big payment that has gone only 8,000 miles in a year and a half? Can you compute the difference between a "passable" '01 F150 and a busted ass 20 year old ambulance? That was the point I made. I made no mention of your pretty little jap truck ![]() I never said my shit was uber blingy nice either... I just said I wouldnt want anything lesser, and that I'm happy with it. Follow the bouncing ball.... - Dave - 06-28-2007 .RJ Wrote:Dave Wrote:$2k truck... spring the extra $5-10k... something made this decade I'm confused by this. I was saying I've done the cheap route, but this time I'll spend the extra dough to get the nicer, more powerful, newer truck. I'm sure I can find a '00-'03 for ~$10k once I am in a position to have cash in hand and can actively look for deals. Right now, I'm researching to determine what I need to be looking for, as I'd love to be looking for the new truck by the end of summer. (<-- don't quote that). - .RJ - 06-28-2007 I was just hating on Derek continuing to shit up your thread, thats all. Pay no attention, move right along
- HAULN-SS - 06-29-2007 Yeah, I pretty well was going from the first thread, and assumed "this decade" meant this current decade we are in, not "the last ten years" - Evan - 06-29-2007 .RJ Wrote::roll: that was an extreme example and I was half joking. Im just making the point that a new truck (like a tundra which i think has been ruled out anyway) or even a newer deisel is probably a waste if its only a work vehicle. Your truck would not be a waste because its not nice. now go sit in your truck and cry you mulleted redneckEvan Wrote:can you compute the difference between that and a blingy Titan with a big payment that has gone only 8,000 miles in a year and a half?
