Derek, do you really care that much about what other people think because you live with a gay roommate? I'm sure the girls you bring home won't, in fact, they might feel even more comfortable there. You get the added benefit of knowing that your roommate will never try to hook up with your girl while you're at work!
That said, I could never live with an Indian. Too much oil spatter all over the kitchen and head shaking no when they actually mean yes. =P

fyi - roommate compatability extend out of the realm of one's sexuality. when it comes down to it, it's about respect. Gay or not, i hope my future roommates are respectful, clean, and responsible. I've lucked out in the past with my roommates.

Back in college one of my roommates had a fairly hot g/f who had a penchant for being loud. Combine that with a common air vent and you were always in you were surely in for an audio show.

What's worse is I shared a 12x12 room in the same apartment with a good friend of mine. His girl (definitely not g/f by his own admission) was the most ridiculous moaner in the world and his bed wasn't more than 4' from mine... where me and my girl were trying to sleep. I can't tell you how many times she woke us up at 3am for me to try and get my girl to rival her. I was always shot down. How sad.
