Two words: No shows

But I also think somewhere in there NASA could've let some people go on break since a lot of stations had two people on.

- Mike - 06-01-2004

Mmmmhmmm... Glad we've gotten that down to a minimum.

- Dave - 06-01-2004

we've definitely improved on those aspects, even in the time that I've been active. Before too long, we'll have enough people actively going to events that we'll be able to have 2 squads working and helpin each other out.

This was also before NASA started relying on VIR corner workers, and using MM as backups for them or other positions.

Ironically enough no shows and erratic turnout is what caused NASA to use MM as a back up.

Really I think a big turning point was the V200 weekend. A lot of people that worked that weekend never flagged again because of the extreme conditions. Then there's people like Dave who even after Beaver in October was not deterred one bit.

Another big turning point was the time when half the people came up with BS excuses and went home after the first day...

 No joke...I never wanted to flag for NASA again after that...luckily the Hyperfest at SP later that year made up for it...only to be done in once and for all by Lowe's that Sept....bad sunburn (even with sunscreen!), flying tires/debris/American Iron cars (turn 1 -yaknow what I'm talkin 'bout) and 20 min. lunches are enough for me, thankyouverymuch.
:?

Oh yeah forgot about that one, where I almost got run over by a stock car!

not to mention Mike pissing on a generator.
Lowe's was the event that hooked me, so I can't complain too much. I don't recall the V200 nightmare, so that must have been before my time.

nice. I fell asleep at turn 12(back straight) at VIR while the VT guy watched the turn for me, he was the one that busted his CRX in Staunton. I did get to ride in my first PY Type R though, so that was cool.

- Mike - 06-02-2004

Uhhh you feel asleep at a corner?

- .RJ - 06-02-2004

Twice?

- ButtDyno - 06-06-2004

RJ did you get $318?

I got 300+45-taxes
