Dragon Wrote:Last summit event we had a bunch of people parking cars in the area that was blocked off for grid workers to park. I was nice and tracked people down I knew doing it and told them to move. This weekend I won't be so nice, you park in the area that's sectioned off for grid workers and you'll find your car towed out of it very quickly.

Not saying this was anyone from MM, I'm just saying when y'all get your paddock spot leave room for 4 cars to park along the fence right next to grid.

then just make sure its clearly marked matt. cant complain if the sign is tiny and there is no rope.

but does everyone on grid really need a parking spot right there anyway? its not like you guys are constantly going in and out.

- Mike - 09-21-2005

yeah, seems kind of dumb to use those spots up for workers when paddock space is at a premium and workers obviously don't need it.

It was clearly marked off last time and people decided to move the barrels that the tape lines were attached to in order to increase their paddock spot.

As for needing our parking spot right there, no we don't need it right there it's just a convenience factor. We're running around all day long, so when the end of the day comes it's nice to be able to allow my people to have their vehicles right there and not have to walk all the way to the other side of the paddock. In addition having your gear and stuff right there readily available is preferred. Can't escape the position for too long most of the day so being able to walk 10' and grab your sunblock, helmet, long sleeve, rain gear, etc is preferred.

Just where exactly do you expect workers to park their vehicles then so as not to inconvenience you participants.

- Mike - 09-21-2005

there is a long bit of grass not far from the grid heading up towards the tower or there is some decent space next to og racing.

I vote for right next to the grid, along the fence.

If we get there early enough, we can rope off the whole fence along grid, from pit out to pit in.

well, I'm going to try and be there when the gates open. Are you still going up for the FATT?

- .RJ - 09-21-2005

I cant make the FATT... work getting in the way

- white_2kgt - 09-21-2005

Matt, you guys will get in there before us right? If so can you rope off that area for us?

- Maengelito - 09-21-2005

i was originally signed up for 3, but i think laura bumped me to 4 cuz there are less cars and she probably wanted to squeeze someone else into 3
