there's a lack of detailed pics. I was just wondering how other parts of the car looked, interior, under the hood, what you don't see from that link, etc

oh, then no... its dark now, and my camera battery is dead and I have no idea where my charger is.

Drove it to work today..... I have no idea why I didnt do this sooner. Flip top lid kicks ass.

so does 9k rpms and red interior. baaaaaaBAAAAAAAAA!

- WRXtranceformed - 08-03-2005

OOf the S2K's rev limiter is set at 9000 ? Dayam !

I think my current modified redline is 7250.

- Mike - 08-03-2005

9k is redline, not sure what limiter is at, but it's more than 9k Tongue

- WRXtranceformed - 08-03-2005

What's the stock S2ks power band like at those RPMS? I've never driven a VTEC car myself... do you start to lose a bit of ooomph in the 8-9k range, or is that when the VTEC really shines ?

As a reference point, the stock WRX drops off in power about 800rpms or so before redline, which is I forget when. I want to say 7000rpm ?

- Mike - 08-03-2005

nope, no drop off in power that i've noticed. power comes on strong at 6k and just keeps going. the civic on the other hand, is hurting the last 200rpms or so of revs.

i think C&D magazine tested the S2K in 0-60 tests with and without vtec. without using vtec (staying below 6XXX rpm) 0-60 was in 11 seconds.

using the full powerband, it was 5.5 i think Big Grin Confusedhock:

- Evan - 08-03-2005

they also had to launch it at 8k-9k!

- Sijray21 - 08-03-2005

first off, Ryan - post some pics of the fag car

second, (scotty can attest to this), Mike, you need Individual throttle bodies on that s2k, it'll sounds like an F1 car, lol. We saw a clip online somewhere and it was rediculous! All the way to 10k with valvetrain and ecu upgrade.

i got that off HT, and yes it was an unreal sound

- Mike - 08-04-2005

it already sounds enough like an f1 car.
