the one car running an h22 is there because that is what the owner had. it was not purpose built for h1, it just made more sense to run it there.

Whats your point?

- Mike - 06-02-2005

you can't use it as your one data point for "there are h22 cars built for h1." it is more there by default. not to say it isn't a great motor, but the whole point of this "argument" is to prove that "if they are so great, why don't more people use them?"

esp when he does it all the time.

"I knew this guy who had trouble with <insert car X> therefore all <car X>s suck."

you knew what i meant. one data point is kind of a weak platform to be standing upon... dolt.

so evan rules... if the h22 is so great WHY is there only one in H1?

example? or were you just trying to sound cool?

The point is that the typical Honda challenge competitor is not an expert in building race cars. Not one of the people competing in H1 has built a car for a professional series. I think the reason no one has tried an H22 is because its a lot easier to do what everyone else is doing than invest several thousand dollars to figure out whether or not an engine is viable or not. Especially when it is an extremely rare for anyone to do any testing of any sort in the series.

Corey is kind of hard to judge from because by my observation he is a bit more talented than the average guy in H1. Even then his car was heavier than the hatchcraps and he was still able to compete up front with his Prelude.

I think having the more flexible powerband is probably worth at least trying it out. Of course a K series has the powerband and is lighter than a B...

All MMer's feel free to donate money to me and I will willingly give up my H aspirations to have MM's first K series swap 8)

But the vehicle minimum weight is higher.

<--- would love to do a K

And they have to use OEM cams in the motor.

C'mon mike, every car discussion we have you always bring up the "I had this one friend" example. Narrative evidence is fine here, I just thought it was interesting when you said "You can't use just one data point" when you frequently just use one example. That's all. Don't read too much into it.

The only cars I ever comment on are the M3 and S4. Not exactly the rosy cars they appear to be on the outside.

I never said it was great. I said your logic sucks.
I give not a shit about honda engines, or putting them in shitbox commuter cars.
