- Feersty - 04-04-2005 Kumhos suck... - Mike - 04-04-2005 :?: you suck. seriously though, says who? the honda-tech appearance and cosmetic forum? lord knows you've never driven a kumho. - ScottyB - 04-04-2005 id love to have a set of kumho MX's on my car. not to sound mean Feersty, but make more educated comments. - Sijray21 - 04-04-2005 Feersty Wrote:Kumhos suck... ![]() these tires are on my wheels right now...by far the best all-season tire (in all levels) i've ever owned, including michlens and yokohama not to mention 205/50/R15's for $43 , not bad for the best i've hadalso owned two sets of ecsta 711s that weren't bad at all - Mike - 04-04-2005 ehhh jayray 711s suck
- JustinG - 04-05-2005 Kumhos do suck...they have a treadwear rating of like 260......so you basically buy a new pair of tires every 6 months...and yes i have driven on them - KPWSerpiente - 04-05-2005 I love my 712's for price and the little performance I get out of them. -T - Feersty - 04-05-2005 Mike Wrote::?: you suck. seriously though, says who? the honda-tech appearance and cosmetic forum? lord knows you've never driven a kumho. Pretty sure Kaan's car had them. - Sijray21 - 04-05-2005 Mike Wrote:ehhh jayray 711s suck sorry i meant the 712's...not the el cheapo 711's, lol - JustinG - 04-05-2005 i may be the only one who does this. but i judge a tire on treadwear then traction, cause the better treadwear the less i have to replace tires. i just dont like kumhos cause last pair i had only lasted like 8 months and they were rotated and everything like they are supposed to be, then i went to some yokos that lasted 2 years, now im on some falkens well see how long they last........ - Dave - 04-05-2005 how you drive has a huge effect on how long they last. I drive like an animal and my cheap-ass kumho MXs and 712 have lasted just as long if not longer than Rex's Michelins that I have on the 240 right now. Kumhos are dirt cheap, have great traction and only last a little less longer. - ScottyB - 04-05-2005 i can vouch for jayray's kumhos. they are pretty damn impressive for all seaons. i'll be looking into them for a future purchase. - Ryan T - 04-05-2005 I've had my Kuhmo 712s on for about 8 monthes and 10k miles and they still have all kinds of tread left, even after 2 auto-x's. Dry traction isn't too impressive but the wet traction is awesome. - JohnC - 04-05-2005 I have 712s on the Z. ~400 track miles (VIR and Road Atlanta) and about 3500 street miles, and I've been impressed with the grip and wear. These will last me through the rest of the season, no problem. And I got these tires with about 80% tread. - Mike - 04-05-2005 in conclusion, rob was talking out of his ass. - Feersty - 04-05-2005 Mike Wrote:in conclusion, rob was talking out of his ass. ha. - JustinG - 04-05-2005 maybe i just had a faulty pair...i think the were ecstas - Sijray21 - 04-05-2005 white97dsm Wrote:maybe i just had a faulty pair...i think the were ecstas you might have gotten the W rated ones. I can't remember which ones i got, but one was a W rating and one was a V rating, but they both were ecsta 712's and one set definitley lasted about twice as long as the other set. ...didn't feel a performance or ride difference though.... :? - JustinG - 04-05-2005 probably so..they came with my wheels in one of those deals. Wasnt expecting much out of them but more than what i got - Mike - 04-09-2005 no pics of the bling, but it is strong and flowing through my veins at a very rapid pace. |
