i'm late to the game, but i've seen the car on FB and IG. So glad you picked this up; suits you well with your history of Hondas. MOAR PICS.

Soo I just signed up for Track Night in America at Dominion next Thursday. Ordered some Ferodo DS3000's and will do a fluid flush over the weekend. My plan is to just feel my way around and take it easy (walls!).

I'm debating on whether I should get install some ground control coilovers that will allow me to dial in some more camber. Guess we'll see after next week.k

i like where you're going with this, but i'd do at least one event stock. can you adjust factory camber a little with crash bolts? that might get you a degree or so.

Yeah I'm kind of a leave-it-alone kind of guy so we'll see how it goes with an event or two before going to a coilover. I wouldn't want to increase spring rates or swap out the shocks, I'm just trying to get the camber plates on there so I can dial in more camber.

That would be super cool! Don't know what Track Night's policy is on ride alongs though. At very least I'll hook you up at a NASA event.

Maybe you or someone else would be willing to help me snap some pics too.

It ends at 8pm right? With 95 traffic I doubt I could make it in time to be worth anything leaving falls Church at 5pm.

Yeah leaving any time after 5 is automatically a 2 hour drive.

So the track night at Dominion went pretty well.

I pumped up the tire pressures to about 42 psi cold in the front so the tires wouldn't roll over on the 30 series sidewalls. That seemed to be just about right. I had 40 on the rear, but maybe I could've gone a bit higher than that.

First session I left the stability control on as I got familiar with the track. Car felt stable and had little body roll for a street car. Certainly better than my M3 was in terms of pitch and roll. Car never really got out of shape or plowed at all during that session.

Second session I turned off the VSA and it made the car feel a lot sharper. Now I felt like I was really driving the car. The grip on this thing is really impressive. Much more than I was expecting, and I'm sure I can chop off several more seconds a lap.

We only had 3 sessions for a total of an hour of track time, and I was pretty much all alone for my last session. I played around a bit with trying to get the car to step out more under trail braking but it doesn't step out very aggressively. I'll have to work a little more on that. Overall very happy how the car performed.

I had bought the Ferodos to put on but after chatting with TOV Jeff and reading up a bit I decided to chance it on stock pads and fluid. As it turns out, the stock everything was up to the challenge for maybe the first time ever on a Honda (other than the new NSX). I got a bit of fade in the first session but once I tidied up my braking zones a bit I didn't get fade again. I'll probably put the Ferodos on next time to see how they feel.

Kinda mad at myself that I couldn't find my RAM mount to take video this time, but I should be all set for next time out, haven't decided when that will be.
