I wouldn't put the car wheel, just the stack. If anything I think we should just do a steering wheel but then bike people get discouraged. The tire marks don't mean we don't know how to drive or do just burnouts. lol. But, the font on the JMU could be plain jane like the MM logo is imo.

I think we should use the actual JMU logo.

Driver's Club

Idk. no one is going to be pleased. sigh

Guys, you're overthinking it. Bike people won't see a steering wheel and get discouraged, they're not 6 year olds.

The same with the car. People won't go "Oh shit, they drive Mazdas? We better gtfo"

I've made one like you said, Ryan, and the JMU logo's proportions make it impossible.

First off, both sets of tires look silly. Second the font looks ridiculous. Third, if I remember correctly you can't just use the jmu logo. Some office needs to approve it, so look into that. I forget who.

And Taylor, I'm teetering on grumpy alumni status. Matt activated his early, but mine will activate on Saturday.

Does anyone have the original transparent MM logos? All I have is PNGs with white backgrounds. Not lending to clean pictures.

you don't want to go down this road. the miata was a fun excercise as an "alternate" shirt to a main logo-centric one to represent the whole club. you could put a velociraptor doing a burnout in a Pagani Zonda while tossing $100 bills out the window, with 2 30mm gatling guns bolted to the side, shooting cans of beer out of them, whilst Michelle Jeneke is draped over the hood wearing whipped cream and at least 2 people would have a problem with it. i don't disagree with the premise of not liking the miata, we all like different stuff.

keep the file around for a special occasion, or if a member wants to take it and spend their own money to print one. my feelings won't be hurt.

if you're f'real serious about this, i should get you a slightly better file. the one i did makes the "t" and "s" in motorsports run together kinda bad.

And you guys know how you're always scared to do something you're not good at when someone that kicks ass at that something is in the room? That's me trying to dick around with these designs right now with Scott.

And guys, these designs literally can not improve with me doing them. These are mockups, there is no way I can do the final design. We just need to decide on one, which I don't see happening soon. I'm going to make a poll on Facebook soon.

Give the "James Madison University Driver Club" its own solid background like the MM sticker. But don't make it slanted like the MM sticker. That way we can avoid the tire marks cluttering the lettering. Again. Put some real time in, think about it, get fancy. And then come back.
