Re: Want a new daily - .RJ - 09-20-2013 Leopard print Re: Want a new daily - WRXtranceformed - 09-20-2013 Nothing wrong with black! Ghetto camoflauge son! (new one is black too )
Re: Want a new daily - Steve85 - 09-20-2013 Acura RDX? AWD, 240hp, Crossover roominess, suspension is more sport than utility (so maybe not a complete bore to drive) solid technology package, available in red and blue. I don't know how good the turbo 4 is in terms of reliability?? ![]()
Re: Want a new daily - Jeff - 09-21-2013 I have to say it Chrysler 300? The 3.5L V6 is reliable and gets 22mpg at least. Leather, RWD, 4 doors... I have a white one in limited trim that 10k would buy. Edit for clicky-pow http://www.woodstockgarage.net/used/Chr ... a0fd09.htm Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 09-22-2013 I had kicked t idea of a small suv or wagon around but im not completely sold yet. I sometimes carry round an upright bass Re: Want a new daily - WRXtranceformed - 09-22-2013 You can fit 4 golf bags in the back of a TL. Plenty of space back there for most cargo. Just saying! Have you test driven one yet? Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 09-23-2013 Didnt get to test drive anything this weekend. I was on g/f time (read: slow mo), and had to go down to hburg to the jmu game saturday (sucked, rained like you wouldnt believe) Hey - did anyone already suggest a first gen CTS-V? Did I forget my roots for a minute there? Re: Want a new daily - WRXtranceformed - 09-24-2013 As someone who is trading in a newer CTS, I would maybe think twice. The interior of the prior gen is really dated and I think you are going to get sicker of that car than you think. That was when GM was still making pretty average cars other than the engines in them. Re: Want a new daily - .RJ - 09-24-2013 It'll be a nice step up from the malibu with 100k miles on it. Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 09-26-2013 this i like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Save-Emp ... 43bf98152b Re: Want a new daily - JPolen01 - 09-26-2013 High mileage bmws out of warranty scare the piss out of me. Re: Want a new daily - *insertusernamehere* - 09-26-2013 Lol you keep circling back to beemers haha Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 09-26-2013 Yeah..I also keep trying to have that debate in my head should i just buy something cheap and new. There are pros and cons across the board. This is why I keep finding stuff that kind of blows my ballpark 10kish budget. I just dont want to still be in the malibu when it finally does have the 2500$ repair bill on something happen. Knock on wood it has been great, but anything with 205k miles on it could have something happen. Re: Want a new daily - WRXtranceformed - 09-26-2013 If you are worried about repair bills you should be way more scared of a 100k 5 series than a Malibu. Or a 100k Hondacura Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 09-26-2013 Not worried about the repair bills so much as the cost to car worth ratio. In other words if the malibu needed a transmission i might as well total it Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 10-10-2013 http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 23901.html Kbb seems to tell me this is a good deal on an m3? Re: Want a new daily - SlimKlim - 10-10-2013 NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE 80k Mile M3 'vert for $11k is suspicious as fuck. Not only is that SMG transmission shit-miserable to drive (it engages first from a stop like a 15 year old trying to do his first burnout) it was catastrophically unreliable and repairs of the hydraulic units run well into the thousands. My guess would be this one has started acting up again and this guy is trying to dump it cheap instead of throwing another $4k at it. If you really want an M3 I'd look for one in the $16-17k range with a manual transmission and a good service history. It would still be needy, but managable thanks to the vast DIY community out there. (just prepare your butthole when it comes time to buy brake rotors or those 275/19 rear tires) Since you do seem to have developed a BMW fetish like the rest of us lost souls, my professional recommendation to you would be a 2003-2005 330i "ZHP" coupe or sedan. It's a regular 330i with slightly more aggressive suspension, a slightly different exhaust, different camshafts (for a whopping 10 extra horsepower), 18 inch wheels instead of 17, unique bumper, unique shift knob (which has been installed on every other model ever by posers, self included) and the same steering wheel as the M3. They were the most performance oriented non-M3 you could buy at the time, and now they are about the best balance of budget and fun while being relatively reliable. Um... :vomit: Re: Want a new daily - HAULN-SS - 10-10-2013 Ah - alright..strike SMG off my list. Convertible I could possibly live on the right car, just not preferable. I was actually eyeing that car suspiciously and it was just something that showed up in a peripheral search. Re: Want a new daily - SlimKlim - 10-10-2013 Here's a pretty clean M3 'vert with the right trans for a decent price: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2031539-2003-M3-Convertible-Carbon-Black-Black-Nappa-6MT-66k-Miles That seems to be the going rate for them lately, and there's probably a little room in that price, I've seen pretty clean ones go for $16-17k. These ZHP listings are old but give you an idea of price. The ZHP stamp makes people act like a retard when it comes time to sell their cars, both private party and dealer alike, they think they were anointed by the pope and ask $18k+ for them. Then some people like them so much they run them into the freaking ground and then pretend the fact that it has 185k miles doesn't affect the price. I would look to pay $11-13k for one with 80-130k miles that has been extremely well maintained. 116k miles - $12k http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2003950-2003-BMW-330I-ZHP-Orient-Blue-Alcantara-RARE-COLOR-COMBO-6-SPEED-and-VERY-CLEAN!!!!!!&highlight=ZHP 87k miles - $12.5k http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2015001-FS-2004-BMW-330ci-ZHP-6-Speed-Coupe-87k-miles-12500-(Ramona-CA)&highlight=ZHP 135k - $12.5k http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2013516-2004-BMW-330i-ZHP-Extremely-Clean&highlight=ZHP 104k - $14k http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2006870-2004-Imola-Red-330i-ZHP-NJ&highlight=ZHP 112k - $11k - Automatic, if you're into that sort of thing http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2006388-CA-2004-BMW-330i-ZHP&highlight=ZHP |
