yeah driven in the snow a bunch of times. I go into work regardless of weather and my neighborhood gets plowed last. Does great in the snow. I didnt expect much because the stock toyos tend more towards a sporty tire, but it did just fine.

If you don't mind me asking what did you guys pay for your Grand Tourings? You can PM me if you don't want to share it to the internets. I ask because we checked out the CX-5 after test driving a used MDX today. My wife fell in love with it so we had them run some numbers. It was "the end of the month" so I was promised a good deal which I was definitely not blown away by.
I liked the car, it was definitely fun to drive and you could string that little engine out. Fairly quiet in terms of road noise. I see exactly what you mean about the interior being decidedly meh; my wife really liked it but I felt it was not even close to the MDX (nor did I expect it to be). The seats are hard and not really comfortable at all. But overall we could get a brand new 2016 fully loaded with 0 miles vs. a 2012ish MDX with 35-45k miles (most of which we have looked at have been BEATEN to hell by soccer moms and their offspring). They had a weird blue color as the only AWD GT with tech package on the lot and we couldn't come to terms on pricing. We will probably revisit again in a few months when they aren't eating as much on my wife's trade in. I personally like the MDX a lot more and would be willing to go used on it vs. new CX5 but the MDX we test drove today was in rough shape and I think it soured my wife on it a little haha

prices are going to fluctuate wildly over time, so its probably not a great comparison, but I shopped out HARD and got the price down to about $300 under invoice. A lot of other people at that time couldnt even get down to invoice at that time (according to mazdas247.com) so I was content with the deal. Might be a similar situation right now since the 2016s just came out with some really good improvements.
If you cant get it down to invoice you can always get an S-plan pin pretty easily which gives you invoice automatically.

It is definitely the way to go. I know I emailed you, but if you do S-Plan, make sure the dealership shows you the Invoice. I had dealers give me "S-Plan" pricing without showing me the Invoice. Exact same car in regards to options/accessories/package, the "S-Plan" pricing I was shown at one dealer was $500 higher than the actual S-Plan that was shown on the invoice by the dealer I purchased from.

Awesome thank you gentlemen! S plan sounds like the way to go. I guess I was a little surprised at the lack of willingness to negotiate on the purchase price, although if we had really liked the weird blue one it sounds like they were willing to soak up a $3,500 negative equity hit on my wife's Elantra.
