Best place to order ammo online??

I wanted to pick up some Federal HPs because I've heard such bad things about these Hornady CDs...I'm going to find a range I can shoot the CDs at to make sure they aren't jamming up the gun, but I want a couple different options.

Is that stippling or grip tape on that HK? That is a slick ass gun..

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 05-04-2011

i ordered from luckygunner.com. best shipped price on the target ammo i use (sellier and bellot 115gr). less than $.20 a pop.

11.50/50 = $.23/round, not including shipping? Did you get a sale or something?
I use ammoman.com for bulk purchases, because he's cheap, and all his prices include shipping. I also bought a shitload of 5.56 the other day from Cabelas because they had $5.25/20 with free shipping.

That's a Heckler & Koch Mk.23 mod.0 US SOCOM, Hoss! (Well sort of. Civvie version, anyway.) Stippling came from the factory that way. H&K may hate civilians but be damned if they don't make fine-ass blasters. Honestly, the grip is a little big, bigger than the USP45 it was based on which is big enough in it's own right.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 05-04-2011

Nice I'll check those sites out. I looked at a few HKs before I bought my gun, but I couldn't justify that kind of price for a first gun. They were totally slick though, daddy definitely wanted.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 05-04-2011

Yeah, I still lust after an HK45, as ugly as they are. I'd even have a USP45 if they had a pic rail instead of the terrible HK specific rail. Oh well.

don't remember. i do remember it was cheaper than anywhere else shipped.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 05-04-2011

any ideas as to where to get 17rd mags for the m&p? sold out everywhere i've tried.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Mike - 05-04-2011

yay googles! http://www.44mag.com/product/m_p_9/smith_and_wesson found via a forum post yesterday.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 05-04-2011

yeah, M&P mags are rare at the moment, because S&W is selling the shit out of M&P's.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 05-07-2011

LOVE love LOVE the new pistol. Very happy with the choice of 9mm over .40. I was hitting 2.5" groupings at 15-20' consistently, it is a lot easier to shoot than the same exact gun as a .40. Such a smooth shooting gun, my buddy even commented on it as he has a standard SC XD .40. I bumped out the target to probably close to 45' and still ended up with like 6-8" groupings around where I was aiming. Felt good about that for the first time shooting this particular gun, and only my 2nd time ever shooting a pistol. It only jammed up once when my buddy shot it on the first round.

The CD rounds were flawless. I mixed them in with the full metal jackets in 2 separate clips and I couldn't tell them apart, which I like. Will probably stick with these rounds since I have half a box left but it doesn't look like they will be an issue in this gun.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - WRXtranceformed - 05-08-2011

After checking those sites and a few other suggested to me from other boards....Walmart believe it or not has the cheapest 9mm ammo I can find. $20 for 100 FMJs. I'll keep stalking the local one and picking up boxes whenever I can Smile

Unfortunately they don't sell 9mm HPs so I may have to outsource to one of those sites.

Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Apoc - 05-09-2011

I haven't done a TON of looking, but I haven't been able to find 12 gauge shells online cheaper than Walmart.

Apoc Wrote:I haven't done a TON of looking, but I haven't been able to find 12 gauge shells online cheaper than Walmart.

It's unlikely that you will. Shipping cost of 12 gauge really really ruins it. It can be occasionally bought at Dicks for cheaper when you catch it on a sale/rebate. And often whatever local venue you're shooting at will be competitive with Wally World. For example, The Fairfax Rod & Gun club has (currently) 12 gauge birdshot for 5.50 a box, tax included. That's cheaper than Wal-Mart.

All that said, of course, Wally World is hard to beat for "simple" stuff, since they buy it by the freighter.

As far as self defense ammo goes, well, you only need about 100 rounds or so of it, so I'd just support my local gunshop for that.

$39.99, start the video and let it play for however long it is, 40 minutes or so. Take the stupid easy test, print out your certificate, take it the the circuit court clerk, get sworn in, pay your $50 and get your permit in a few weeks.

Sit through what class? You mean 'take a test where the answers are on the wall?'
