Re: Automotive News Discussion - HAULN-SS - 12-23-2014

You wouldn't buy it anyway

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Mike - 12-23-2014

Yeah, but he would a few years down the line when it had depreciated... wait, Toyota trucks don't depreciate. So ok, you're right.

HAULN-SS Wrote:Trade lotus, get 4c..profit?
not sure about the profit part but yeah that would be the gist of it

I dont want 3 car payments though, so whenever the early adopter stupid-tax period is over ill look into it. Or ill come to my senses and not.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Mike - 12-24-2014

Plus you've gotta wait until the requisite aesthetic CF bit catalogs are available.

Saw a red 4C at Giant a few days ago. It was The Hotness.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - RawrImAMonster - 12-29-2014

The Evo is going out with a bang. A limited edition "Final Concept" with 473 HP and retuned suspension is going to be coming in June. Only 2000 examples will be made.

That's a lot of power from a factory spec 2.0 4-cylinder.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 12-29-2014

Thats ridiculous... price?

Re: Automotive News Discussion - RawrImAMonster - 12-29-2014

I haven't seen anything about the price in any of the articles on it yet. I'm guessing it will be pretty pricey (50-60k) if we do end up with a nearly 500hp evo in the US.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - Sully - 12-30-2014

May be a lot of power but its also a lot of money for a pretty outdated body style. Evo x's have been around awhile with (correct me if im wrong) barely even a facelift if at all. And that "special" edition looks just like everybody else's.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - HAULN-SS - 12-31-2014

do they really mold the license plate holder into the front bumper? That's turrble

No, you have to buy that holder and then drill it in if you have to run a front plate.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 01-05-2015

Sooooooooooo.

Not really news per se but I drove one of these this weekend:

[Image: Ford-Mustang-2015-main-copy-556x371.jpg]

Not that car precisely, since it's got the GT perf pack but a brandy new 2015 Mustang GT with three pedals and six forward gears and four hunnit thirty fiiiieee horsepowers.

So, the old car I pretty much hated. Hated the steering, hated the styling, hated the handling, hated the brakes it was atrocious.

Everything I hated about the old car, gone. It's pretty crazy that a dealership will make a photocopy of your driver's license and then toss you the keys to a 400+ horsepower, RWD six speed monster. The saleslady was like "you don't need me to go with you, do you?" I said no, and she suggested I hit 33 west into town, to get a feel for it. I said thanks, and proceeded to tear ass up 33E.

It's...it's really good. Like. REAL good. Great steering, good handling, assloads of power and smoooooooooth delivery. Hit the redline by accident because it was still pulling all the way to the top, and there was no thrashing or gasping that normally indicates it's time to shift. Interior is good, still has that (i guess now archetypical) mustang "flat dash" but I think it'll age better than the ZOMG RATROOOOOOO S197 interior. Materialswise, I'd put it on par with an E46, livable but nothing special. Better than my STI though, by leaps and bounds. I loved the "switches", turning traction control OFF was flipping an actual physical switch. #itsthelittlethings

When we got to the other side of the mountain I let Parmer drive, mostly because we were looking for two different things. I wanted to know if it was a car I could live with, and he wanted to know if it was a car with performance potential, or just another Piggy Car. He proceeded to do a buck ten up that mountain with little effort, and at the end of the drive said "I fully support your decision if you decide to buy one of this. This is way way better than I expected."

Might buy one for a Divorce Present next year. (that's the plan, anyway)

I want to talk, lastly, about the track apps. I am still floored by this. Inside the dash, there is a option called "track apps" that include:
A Line Locker, WTF.
Launch Control, adjustable from 3500 to 5500 rpm, LOL
0-60 drag, WITH A GODDAM TREE IN THE DASH
0-100 drag, WHAT THE BLUE FUCK
60-0 braking test ARE YOU FOR REAL
100-0 braking test WHERE ARE THE LAWYERS WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE

And, and, and...IT TRACKS ALL THAT FOR A FUCKING HIGH SCORE.

A Guard Metallic GT with GT Perf Pack and black cloth seats is a cunt hair over 35 grand MSRP. This motherfucker right here:

Bathe her and bring her to me.

Re: Automotive News Discussion - SlimKlim - 01-05-2015

I'm fairly certain you've looked like this since climbing out of that thing.

If you have an erection lasting longer than four hours, you're supposed to call the doctor, right?
