Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-26-2016 The transmission is in? This can't be real life Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 03-26-2016 rherold9 Wrote:The transmission is in? This can't be real life Yeah built some jig (that i'm going to save) to get the transmission mounted solo. I still need to bolt up the axles/half-shafts/pad swap/brake bleed etc. while i'm up front. I also need to flip my seat mounts on the drivers side, mount my belts, and "maybe" get the coolant temp gauge installed. I need to pick up and mount my Toyo RRs  ... still debating on painting the wheels right now. i might do it just because its a scuff and spray job. I can do coats between other tasks. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 03-29-2016 i'm off friday to work on the integra and relax a little... if anyone is game i'll be at the house. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-29-2016 What else do you have to do? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 03-29-2016 install 3 more bolts in the trans and plug it all up... install starter/axles, do the brakes and bleed them, nut and bolt check, coolant gauge, test drive.
Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-29-2016 Dang. Didn't even realize you had that much left. I'll be working all Friday afternoon/night trying to get everything in... I'll be working all Friday afternoon/night trying to get everything in... seal your metal with paint! it shouldnt take long... i just only get an hour or so every night to get things done... so i figured i'd burn some PTO to wrap things up. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-29-2016 Yup, buying rustoleum enamel shit for metal. We are drilling, sparying, letting dry for an hour as it says 30 minutes on the can. Then installing everything. Not sure if the best way but that's what we are doing. I've always learned when you say it "shouldn't take too long" add another 3 hours to the job and it may get done haha Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - JustinG - 03-29-2016 Can't you also throw som e automotive seam sealer around the plates on the under side of the car? Corrected that for you  Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - JustinG - 03-29-2016 Seam sealer may be a better deal than silicone. Can grab it from Adv Auto, or the body shop/paint store should have it. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-29-2016 JustinG Wrote:Seam sealer may be a better deal than silicone. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 03-29-2016 seam sealer will make removal difficult and is "overkill." I forgot i need to wire my brake controller AND repair some lights on the trailer... and maybe get the trailer pulled over for some new tires. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - JustinG - 03-29-2016 if you want the cage as a permanent piece in the mazderp, then do seam sealer. if not, then silicone. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-29-2016 JustinG Wrote:if you want the cage as a permanent piece in the mazderp, then do seam sealer. if not, then silicone. (who used neither and just used paint to make sure no rust and never had a problem when I removed it for a weld in) Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 03-29-2016 I mean a bolt in roll bar shouldn't be permanent regardless I'd say. To answer your question though. No clue. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - Kaan - 04-21-2016 My kick off to the season… started with almost a “bang.” ![]() This season I have seats, harnesses, a roll bar, Toyo RRs, DTC 60s, and a better transmission (shorter gears, better FD, and a LSD). AND I towed to the event… and installed the first mod on the truck. I felt I was all set for a great weekend. I did have a good weekend… but not great. ![]() ![]() I definitely picked up more speed… more in the corners, more out of the corner, more between the corners… everywhere! My first session I spun… RRs don’t like 36psi cold in the rear… my tire gauge sucks! After the adjustment things were great. I had some fun with guys in group 2, letting them by on the straights and them letting me by before turn 3. I got a lot of feedback from spectators and people in group 2 that i was dog legging the integra all over the course. I had a lot of people in group 2 asking me how much power I had and telling me how fast I was. My only issue right now is brake zones, I don’t trust the people in front of me so I don’t push them… at all. I hoping group 3 peoples driving give me the confidence to push my braking zones… but I’ll probably have my arm out the window all weekend. So great that Sunday mornings session I feel some heat on my leg… I check my gauges… everything seems okay… my oil was up to 268, but I’m running synthetic so I figure I’m still at the high end of the zone. I come off track and pop the hood to let things cool off and I hear a bubble… as I pray to myself that its not the head gasket… ryan says “ummm your overflow is boiling.” After it cools down I pull the radiator cap to confirm… I had blown my head gasket that last session. I was done for the day… but at least it didn’t blow up and I could drive it on the trailer. The parts are on order and I’m spending an hour or so every evening prepping the garage for the head to get pulled… no slippery slope, just a head check, head gasket if its good, and carry on. Re: Project: Integra Type Dickbutt - rherold9 - 04-21-2016 So, is the derp going to be in 3 for June? There is no reason you should not be in 3. You can always ask someone to ride shotgun to instruct you in 3. You were outpacing almost everyone besides the large red go-kart lol. You will enjoy 3 a lot more and be able to push more.
