Just out of curiosity, is one of the factors in all of that math simulation "likelihood to quit now that he's gotten paid"?

Those simulations aren't worth shit in my book.

i played madden last night with albert haynesworth on the team and i went 16-0. in fact, i somehow managed to score more than 20 points by adding a defensive player.

- WRXtranceformed - 03-08-2009

So TO goes to the Bills. LOL. The only reason this is remotely relevant to this thread was that I was reading some of the comments on the blog or whatever it was and someone said that Washington would have been a good choice for him. Bullshit! If he wasn't happy with Romo he's certainly not going to be happy with Jason Campbell.

Yes, because Madden is a very accurate depiction of real life
I played with the steelers last night and went 0-16, so they must suck as bad as the lions.......

yep, you're still your same dense old self.

- DierwulfBL - 03-11-2009

no sir, im just saying if you're good at madden you can score against the computer with the most god awful offenses, hence why madden is not an accurate depiction of real life, unless you simulated the entire season, which i doubt you did, im just saying its a video game and shouldnt be used to try and see what impact a player will have on a team because theres a ton more factors, but yea im still dense and you still have mikey rules

- Mike - 03-11-2009

yes, you're still not getting it. here, let me put it in bold:

i somehow managed to score more than 20 points by adding a defensive player.

THE WHOLE POST WAS A JOKE. YOU'RE TAKING MY JOKE TOO SERIOUSLY.

- Apoc - 03-11-2009

I'm not sure I understand, could you explain it a different way?

- Mike - 03-11-2009

i was acting as hyped as the person who wrote that original article about simulations. adding a defensive player caused me to score 20 more points per game.. think about that impact... think.

a team that averaged 16.6ppg last year is going to need to be looking on the other side of the ball for some answers.

<--- will work on dumber humor from now on.

J. Cutler for J. Campbell? Tongue

I wouldn't put it past Danny Snyder

- Evan - 04-02-2009

I would support that 100%

but

Denver wants too much for Cutler . If the skins end up giving up 2 first round picks (or even a first and a second) then that would be utter retardation.

the problem is that if they dont get cutler, they are fucked, since campbell knows the skins have given up on him.

- Hunter - 04-02-2009

I'll say that Cutler is a better QB than Campbell, but not by as much as people are thinking. I honestly don't think Cutler is worth Campbell and a 1st, Campbell and our 3rd would be more like it.

A few things that make me think Cutler's overrated:
1. He has one of the best pass blocking offensive lines in the league. Their undersized and struggle a little with run blocking, but only allowed 11 sacks last year.

2. He won't be able to just throw a jump ball to a 6'4" pro bowl receiver, and their #2 receiver ain't now slouch either.

3. He's shown no real improvement in decision making over the last 3 years. He still throws a ton of interceptions and my old roommate (who's a huge bronco's fan, from denver) always complains about how he's terrible at reading defenses. If you watch any of his games, he gets bailed out of bad decisions by his phenomenally athletic receivers a lot.

4. Do we really want the guy who bitched and complained his way out of Denver? Will he refuse to show up in the offseason next year if he has a bad season and our coach actually acknowledges it?

5. Finally, the Bronco's had a hell of an easy schedule last year. The best defense they played was 9th ranked Tampa bay and played half of their games (8.) against the 8 worst defenses in the league. The skins on the other hand played 8 of their games against defenses ranked in the top 8. If you swap those schedules, I'm willing to bet that Campbell ends up with better numbers than Cutler and we aren't talking about this trade right now.

- Hunter - 04-02-2009

ESPN is saying he's going to the bears. Thank god.

- DavidM - 04-02-2009

Yea, except now Campbell is gonna be pissed. This whole thing had disaster written all over it from the start.

- Hunter - 04-02-2009

Campbell is more of a professional than Cutler, I think he'll be ok.

And the bears gave up this years 1st, next years 1st, this years 3rd and Kyle Orton. They got raped.

- DavidM - 04-02-2009

They did, I would have been pissed if we had given that much up. But at the same time, it doesn't exactly send a message of confidence to Campbell. I'm sure he won't behave the way Cutler has but it certainly has to weigh on him.

- WRXtranceformed - 04-02-2009

I would have preferred Jay Cutler Sad Good thing the Panthers are my primary team now! Not that Delhomme is any better than Campbell.

- Mike - 04-02-2009

I dunno. I think the Skins handled it pretty well. They never publicly admitted any interest... Campbell shouldn't be too upset... It's the way the game is nowadays... Unless you've got a franchise guy, you're always looking for someone better.

Maybe he'll actually play well now.

- Feersty - 04-05-2009

Campbell conducted a phone interview on espn980 that day, and he was very calm about it, claiming Zorny came to him and said that he was "their guy."
