I don't think he was calling papa john's best pizza. I believe he was saying that he never had anything at Anthony's that was better than papa john's. I don't really care for either one. Anthony's was just a step above chanello's...which isn't saying much. Just my thoughts though.

Real NY pizza is a different story, i named places i deemed passable in the area. Are you sure it's the same place? There's Anthony's Pizza and there's Anthony's Italian Touch which no one really knows.
If you prefer Chicago style, that's a whole other much more valid argument. I personally can't stand it.

so I went to several of those places recommended by 'real NYers' guess what. its still limp dried out dough with a sliver of sauce and cheap greasy cheese on top that tastes like cardboard.
italian food in little italy - amazing. pizza from anywhere in NY? fuck off. that shit is nasty.
i still dont understand why so much NY pride is tied up in that shit
