Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - CaptainHenreh - 04-02-2010 El Charrrrrrrrrrro? Doubt we'll get in in time, but I do love me some Charro comma el. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - ViPER1313 - 04-02-2010 I'm down for either, although my vote goes to B-Dubs. I probably won't be in HBurg until 8 or 9 though. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - rschumin - 04-03-2010 Here are my pictures from the show today. http://www.flickr.com/photos/22888754@N00/sets/72157623762968034/ Lots of interesting cars and people to look at. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - Jake - 04-04-2010 Hope everyone had a good time yesterday!! I think I can speak for all 4 officers when I say we didn't know quite how large an undertaking this show can be. Regardless, I was pleased with the way things turned out considering it was Easter weekend. I know the date deterred some people from showing, and gobs of students were home for the weekend. Next year, we'll look at a calendar of holidays when we pick the date. A few quick thank-yous... Cabell - for really helping promote the show, getting us the trailer to use, making tons of phone calls, sourcing the PA at the last minute, and the BBQ grillage. Adam - for snagging the trophies, getting raffle prizes together, and doing a good bit of promotional heavy lifting. David - for helping a ha-yooge amount the night before with prep work, figuring out and manning registration and raffles, dealing with so much cash money, and convincing me the night before that yes, people were actually going to show up to this thing. Also, David L & Meg... for helping cart over all the food stuffs and chairs. Joey - ended up on spontaneous grill duty and singed some hair on his arms for the greater MM cause. The hair will grow back, and thanks for grilling. Taylor - got everything coordinated with Cat's Cradle. All we had to do was provide a spot for him to set up and he handled the rest. Once we get finances sorted out and money counted, we'll be making the as-promised donation. Chris Levey - somehow convinced his roommate, who I've met once for 5 minutes, to let us use his pickup truck for Friday & Saturday. It's back at P-Run with a full tank and two new quarts of oil to replace the two that burned off while we had it. Scott Powell - from Bob Wade Subaru... he went above and beyond what he had to do for the show. Even though some of the grand-scale stuff didn't work out, there's always next year, and his efforts were very much appreciated. He got the 'swag bags' together for us and also got us some radio time on the more "local" oriented stations. I was way too busy to take any pictures, so I'll have to see things again through everyone else's cameras. So if you took pix, put 'em up! Great seeing all the alumni who came out, too. We really appreciate y'alls continued involvement and support. Well, now that the show is over, on to FoW and some karting action before the semester winds down!! Thanks again to everyone who helped put this thing together, your efforts did not go unnoticed. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - DLingenfelter - 04-04-2010 Whoever did the playlist and music for the show, THANK YOU!! I've never heard such good music at a car show before, usually it's 50's knock off music or Rap that's played so loud that one's ears bleed. The music matched the laid back atmosphere. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - ScottyB - 04-04-2010 great job guys, looks like it was a really good show Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - Kaan - 04-04-2010 Great job guys! Maybe next year I'll bring a bike where the colors actually match... Fat chance Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - Jewels - 04-04-2010 Good job guys! Was a lot of fun, got to see some old friends, and definitely got to see you current students in action. Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - Ryan T - 04-04-2010 The show was amazing. It's the first time in a while that we have had flawless weather and you all took advantage of it! The parking of the show ended up being great (noone likes having to move their car once it's parked) and everyone seemed happy with the setup. I was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly everything went. Congrats on a great show guys, I hope the trend keeps up! Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - V1GiLaNtE - 04-05-2010 Big thanks to all the off the supporting current students AND alums!! I had a great time at the show and it was nice to be able to breath knowing the show was running smoothly. Tip of the that to the current officers for helping make this thing run so smoothly and be a success! Also a shout out to Bob Wade for their continued support, Monkey Wrench for being a supporting local business, Cats Cradle for their support and presence, and Pushing Luck VW club for reppin' the DUBS at the show!! Re: Madison Motorshow 2010! - DavidL - 04-05-2010 Had an awesome time! Weather was incredible, really big thanks goes out to all that made this happen! I never know how we pull it off, but it all just comes together!
