Two reporters from The Breeze are coming down on Saturday to do a video story on our club and what we do on our own and with NASA. I guess I'll have to get pretty then. My dad might come down to hang out either Saturday or Sunday. Apparently the shower at home decided to stop being water tight, so he decided to rip all the tile out and fix it. hock: Good luck with that dad. I need to go start calling people to get out of my shift on Friday. Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - JustinG - 03-24-2010 It would be cool if we all had mm apparel to wear for the pics.....like grey fleeces or something..............

Yeah, CABEL, where's our shit? Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - CaptainHenreh - 03-24-2010 Jake Wrote:Just a heads-up, cool news! That shit is awesome (to me, anyway) Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Dragon - 03-24-2010 I'll be down on the grid as usual. For you MMers that want to work grid, get with me sometime this weekend. There's typically only one or two available spots for grid each weekend since I've got a pretty regular staff now, but I want to give y'all the chance to work so let's see what we can work out. That's awesome about the reporters too, let's really impress them, I'm putting one of you in charge of getting them to the grid so we can get them a ride. See everyone at the tavern! Assuming Dragon = Matt? I'm on your crew for the weekend. Laura only had the one spot and I managed to snag it. See you Saturday bright & early! CaptainHenreh Wrote:#1: Send an email to Laura #1: Done did. She's gonna get them out on a corner to get footage and get some interviews with peoples. #2: No idea. That happened before my time I think. I know she (the reporter) is hoping to talk with some of you who are more OG-ish than I am. Just FYI. Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - JustinG - 03-24-2010 i think the plaque was with turbododge last i saw it Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - CaptainHenreh - 03-24-2010 Jake Wrote:I know she (the reporter) is hoping to talk with some of you who are more OG-ish than I am. Just FYI. Well, that would be Kaan and Peter then. I didn't go to JMU, and neither did Matt, Julie, or Sylvia. If Chan is there, he'd be the seniormost OG, I think. I'll hang around for a bit sat morn to say hi, and try to find some tires, but will be gone by noon. Gotta get home for Matlock and prune juice! Who's coming down fri? Got any floor space for me to crash? Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - SlimKlim - 03-24-2010 Oh yeah, dibs on a corner to sleep in somewhere. Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Goodspeed - 03-24-2010 Wish I could come down for this, got work both days. Awesome news on the reporter bit - took long enough for them to come around, I seriously don't think there is a club at JMU that is 1/10th as badass as us. Just an FYI, I have the NASA WOTY plaque. I snagged it to try and get it displayed at JMU (thinking they had a trophy case for stuff) but to no avail. Let me know if anyone needs it. Definitely belongs with Rex/Julie/Peter/Matt etc., so maybe someone can pass it along to them Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-25-2010 Goodspeed pass it to a current student going down and make sure to give it to one of the OGs. If JMU wont display it, it might as well go to the people that earned it Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Levey - 03-25-2010 so when and from where are we dipping out again? Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Jake - 03-25-2010 Levey Wrote:so when and from where are we dipping out again? Bookstore parking lot - meet in the very front row by the metered spots. Meeting around 3, leaving shortly after. So does that mean you guys are here now? I think I'll just go on home. Its cold! Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Dragon - 03-29-2010 Ugh, what a weekend. Much colder then expected, and the rain on Sunday didn't help out one bit. Still, any weekend at the track is a good weekend IMO. Hopefully all the MM cornerworkers that came in after lunch on Sunday enjoyed their rides. I did get a few photos with my new camera of Channing on track and the MMer in the yellow M3. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For the full album of shots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/msleech/sets/72157623601812413/ Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-29-2010 Damn, thats impressive, passing an Avenger :p.....ahah just kidding, you looked good out there Joey. Dakar is sexy on track...mmmm.... Re: NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in? - Jewels - 03-29-2010 Definitely a great time. It was cold and rainy, but the beer helped. Had a good time talking to you guys at the MidAtlantic Motorwerks/VBD Party. Good seeing some of you back a second time. Lets make April a 3rd time if possible. That one's closer. I had a blast this weekend and I know those who came with me did as well. The van was returned successfully when we got back. BIG thanks to Laura and Matt Leech for working with me on Saturday regarding the Breeze reporters. I had a great time working grid and seeing things from a different angle. The rain made things interesting to watch on Sunday. We may make it up to Summit on the 17/18 weekend in April, but there is also a car show at ODU on the 17th, and an autocross on the 18th. Gonna be a group vote on Wednesday at the meeting I guess... or we'll send people everywhere. We will see. Thanks as always to you alumni for the support in getting us out with NASA. Always a great time when we go. ![]() ![]() ![]()
