I really hope you like it and that you find satisfaction in the project.
I guess my real problem is that there are so many other cool cars made in the past 20 years that I would rather buy. For the record, I still don't understand why anyone would willingly buy an 18 y/o economy car with 108hp that pulled .81g on the skidpad when it was new. 1991 was a long time ago - I would bet that stock for stock, a 6 to 7 y/o Ford Focus would kill that CRX in almost every performance measure and could be had for the same price.

To each his own.... CRX's are great cars and can be a lot of fun. Just not this one.

So ask yourself - would you spend $2000 on a 1991 Geo Storm or Hyundai Scope or Mitsubishi Mirage or Toyota Celica? Why is it any more logical to spend that on a Honda?

Its not so much what it is...I'm as guilty as any of us for liking weird shit. Its the fact that it is a huge amount of money for a poor condition example. We make our comments out of love not hate. I would hope you guys wouldn't smack me around for buying a rusty TD...but I would expect you to tell me if I am paying way to much and ignoring logic while saying "it will work out" and bending over cash in hand.

for the record i paid 1500 dollars for my crx, at the time had
-134,000 miles (95k on engine)
-bought in staunton in 1991, southern car ever since, absolutely not a spot of rust, never wrecked
-decent snot green paint job
-mods in signature minus the teins and rear discs.
recently a friend picked up
1991 crx dx $1000
-165k miles, rebuilt bottom end, new clutch, mechanically sound
-absolutely no rust
-DA acura wheels
-nice strut bars
-crappy 2-tone paintjob that i turned into flat black for 20 bucks worth of spray paint
