If I wanted to learn something, I'd be buying textbooks. Writing on "level" is a poor way to judge in my opinion; I'd much rather judge it based upon the way it flows or its ability to get the reader interested and want to finish it immediately, which I consider him to be very good at. Books are an opportunity to allow your mind to build its own universe and escape for a little while, allowing your own imagination to make it into whatever I want. On top of that, they're an excellent opportunity to build your vocabulary which can make you sound smarter if you can work it into your everyday vernacular; I have found King to be very good at using a wide variety of words to give a variety of degrees for a single emotion or event in order to portray a very explicit way that something is happening, which gives his stories great imagery. Perhaps your imagination just needs to stretch it's legs and be a little less critical  I'm absolutely not a horror junkie and, in fact, The Green Mile is the book that sucked me into his writing.

You're absolutely entitled to your opinion, but you'd be wrong Big Grin

Only musical I can think of that I just can't stand is Grease.

That is one thing I love, going to the Kennedy Center. I used to go a lot as a kid with my family, ever since my father passed away ive only been there once since. However, I dont like to watch the same things on tv or movie theater, the whole experience is lost, I only love to see them when they are live. I would love to go to New York and see some, but ive been to Kennedy Center so many times its kind of like how people go to summit point so much they end up liking it better than VIR despite the obvious.

Edit: You know what...im going to go to one over winter break. Anyone see any plays that recently came out in the last few years, ive most likely already seen all the ones previous, although I would love to see phantom again and again.

since Lee should have named this thread "Fruity/Queer Pleasures" Wink here are mine (note the lack of Mariah Carey)

1. I have pet rabbits.
2. I like classical music. Especially Baroque period (Handel, Bach,Vivaldi) and early classical (mozart). Hearing a full orchestra in person is like no other auditory experience on the planet.
3. I like smoothies.
4. I like miatas

thats about all Ive got.

i think rabbits are the most vaginal thing in this thread.

- WRXtranceformed - 11-26-2008

Listen lay off Mariah or I'm sending a team of ninja pirates to your new house to steal your hardwoods!!!

- Apoc - 11-26-2008

I'm kinda a pets person so I'm gonna go ahead and say Mariah is more vaginal. I could see watching her videos back before she turned into a crazy whore, but actually listening to her music.... iunno.

heh, I remember instructing Ratcliff's dad a year or two back. We were waiting on grid behind a boxster and he says to me in a thick british accent:
"thats a nice car, but its a bit of a hairdresser's car, isnt it". I agreed but felt odd since we were sitting in a miata.

and if any straight guys were in it would you really be calling them stupid and/or gay? i'd call them brilliant.

funny "hairdressers" were brought in to this... i live with a hair stylist AND an interior designer. i dare you to call either one of them anything else Tongue
