- Apoc - 04-15-2009 I'll have a combination of 2 or 4 in Section 111 for various games. I have nothing for tonight's game but will post in here when I know more. - Hunter - 04-15-2009 http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcspor ... csportsbog That just makes me smile and get even more pumped for the game tonight. - Evan - 04-15-2009 anyone know where to watch this online? edit: only thing I could find http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?match ... art=sports small, low quality. and who is this Theodore chump and why does he suck so bad? - Apoc - 04-15-2009 It looks like Theodore will be the Caps undoing. Everyone said that was a bad move when they acquired him... guess they were right. I actually haven't seen any of the goals so it may be a defensive problem... but 4 goals on 16 shots isn't so good. - DavidM - 04-15-2009 Yea, Theodore is just awful...that was a truly pathetic performance. If he doesn't play a lot better Saturday people are going to be calling for Varlamov, regardless of whether we win or lose. - Apoc - 04-16-2009 Looks like everyone agrees it was Theodore. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/gamecenter ... 15_NYR@WAS - CaptainHenreh - 04-16-2009 The D didn't back Theodore up very well last night, but goddamnit he's supposed to be a world-class goalie, not a chump! - damnit458 - 04-16-2009 CaptainHenreh Wrote:The D didn't back Theodore up very well last night, but goddamnit he's supposed to be a world-class goalie, not a chump! Even an average goalie would be good enough in this series, but even that looks like it may be a stretch. One can only hope he regains his form next game, because if it comes to starting Varlamov this series is over. Nothing against the kid, I think he's going to be very good for us in the future, but starting a rookie goaltender who has a whopping 4 starts in his NHL career (not to mention about 30 in his professional career) is not going to work. To be fair though, a lot of the blame should go on the D after last night. Schultz got absolutely embarrassed, what a joke. - Hunter - 04-18-2009 http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4079423 Looks like they're going with Varlamov. That's a bit of a shocker. - damnit458 - 04-18-2009 Well that was embarrassing. OV and Green were absolutely terrible today. - Mike - 04-19-2009 Lundquist was pretty sick. - damnit458 - 04-19-2009 Mike Wrote:Lundquist was pretty sick. I thought he was good but not great by any means. The Caps put up like 35 shots on net but how many of them were from just inside the blue line with nobody in front? Really that's what they struggled with last year and are struggling with this year as well. They don't have that Franzen or Hartnell type player who is just going to sit in front of the net all game, take a beating, but be there to screen the goalie and poke in rebounds. The closest thing they have to that is probably Laich. If they want to make anything out of this series they're going to have to realize that if you want to win in the playoffs, you have to play that kind of hockey. Cute passes and the shit that they did in the regular season just isn't going to cut it (especially against one of the best defensive teams in the league). Personally I think they'll make it exciting, although at this point I would be surprised if NY didn't win the series. - Maengelito - 04-20-2009 damnit458 Wrote:I thought he was good but not great by any means. I'm not exactly optimistic about the series anymore but my tune could be completely different after tonight's game. - Hunter - 04-20-2009 Anyone know a place to watch it live online? My usual site isn't working and I can't even watch buy it on NHL.com because it's "telecast nationally", just not here. I'm listening to the radio stream now, horray for Semin. - DavidL - 04-20-2009 FINALLY the Caps stepped up. This is the playoff hockey we need to see, great game. - DavidM - 04-20-2009 And Varlamov looks great! 1 Goal in two playoff games, a shutout in MSG. Regardless of how this series ends up that looks great for the future! - .paul - 04-20-2009 what took them so long to play like this? avery oh so frustrated ^_^ - Evan - 04-20-2009 Hunter Wrote:Anyone know a place to watch it live online? Probably decides the rest of the series. Let's hope we see another big game from the D and Varlamov. - Hunter - 04-22-2009 Lundqvist is killing the caps. |
