looking forward to driving Shenandoah again! I'll probably get there late Friday afternoon and go through tech. If you guys get there and don't see my car, I'll have my stuff under a large blue tarp (guess that really doesn't help much :? ). I'll try and save some space.

Maeng, I'll see if I can check in the hotel for you again if you don't mind.

- Nis01 - 10-03-2007

I'll probably be arriving around the same time Chris, hopefully I will catch you in the paddock before you head to the hotel... Do I have your cell phone number? Mine is 804-306-4592, I'll be in Harrisonburg so it won't be too long of a travel for me to get there.

BTW... what is the exit off of 81N? I can't remember off hand. See you guys up there. Car is prepped and ready to try out Shenandoah. Big Grin

Could you get a good spot that's close to the bathrooms/food area? Can someone bring a canopy?

Rte 7 toward Leesburg. Exit 315, I think? The one past 313 (rte 17.)

Hope it helps,

Jon

w00t. Helmet has the right stickers!

I have a friend who's thinking about coming with me - any idea what it costs for spectators?

also you can use exit 5 to 11S to 51W, make a right on summit point road (or leetown road it hink its called maybe) and it dumps you out at the track...

Just a heads up, there are like 15 different ways to get to the track, and who the hell wants to go all the way into WV to get to the track when you can get there from all the preceding winchester exits. He's coming from Richmond, your directions would have him back tracking.

- HAULN-SS - 10-04-2007

hrmm yeah - i was just playing with google maps, and it's more mileage to go that way, but about the same time because you're on 81 longer

There's no charge for spectators

- HAULN-SS - 10-04-2007

ok thanks. I saw something abou 25$ on the website in the OP - wasn't sure who that was directed to.

From Richmond, the quickest way to SP doesn't involve I-81 at all (it's too far west.) We go 95N to 17 to 340 to 7 to 632, then make two right turns and we're at the front gate. 2hrs 15min with no stops, driving near the speed limit.

Alternate (scenic) route from Richmond is 64W to 522 to 29 to 17 to 340 to 7 to 632. Lovely drive but usually takes ~15min longer due to lower speed limits and farm traffic on 522.

Maeng, I got my canopy into the car... so we will at least have 1 in case you don't bring yours. Might be nice to have 2 but I know thats a major PITA to cram that thing in there. See you guys later on today.

- HAULN-SS - 10-05-2007

can someone kind of tell me how to find you guys, or especialyl the area, in case i get there and you're out on track. What's a good time to get there?

white sti=shea
red mr2=andy
dark blue miata=maeng
grey e30bmw=boobies

I think we're all in different groups so there should be at least 2 of the 4 cars parked together at any time.

- HAULN-SS - 10-05-2007

well I know what everyone's car is - but is there like a certain area where most everyone's car will be that I can just browse around until i find them?

Yes, where it says "paddock" in blue letters here:
