- WRXtranceformed - 09-18-2007 Forza 2 is pretty awesome, I'm a big ricer so I liked NFSU2... I never really played PGR3 when it came with the system, so I traded it in on some other game. I didn't really like it that much. Navin: Buy your buddy's XBOX for real cheap, then go to Walmart and buy a core system. Return it the next day with your buddy's XBOX in that box. Good to go! Microsoft has a horrible warranty program, so let Walmart deal with them. - Mike - 09-18-2007 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Microsoft has a horrible warranty program, so let Walmart deal with them. uhhh no they don't. - HAULN-SS - 09-18-2007 He's right...they used to..but so many people had problems they had to expand their service warranties. - WRXtranceformed - 09-18-2007 They didn't expand it for me when my last one broke. And that was fairly recently. In fact, they were dicks about it when the refurbed unit they sent me broke again like 2 months later. I made a thread about it a while back. - HAULN-SS - 09-18-2007 Well, I guess the part I was talking about was the first gens getting basically an unlimited warranty - because so many of those sucked. - Evan - 09-18-2007 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Also, I'm probably the only fucker in here who even played system shock 2, much less the original System Shock.I actually played the original System Shock, back in 1995 or 96 IIRC, I picked it up in the bargain bin along with BioForge and played it on my brand spankin new Pentium 150mhz. Brings back memories. I liked BioForge a lot better though, that was an amazing game for its time. - Steve85 - 09-18-2007 bassmangrammy Wrote:DiRT for xbox360 is awesome! Great rally simulator with navigator instructions... very cool game. Is there a "go anywhere, no track" mode? - Kaan - 09-19-2007 MotoGP 2007 Review: If you liked MotoGP 2006 you will like 2007. The bikes behave much differently than last year. Just as in the real MotoGP the bikes changed, the power bands feel different, just like a new chassis where you work out bugs, YOU have to work out the bugs in yours. You can back a bike into a corner, power slide, etc. It feels a lot more arcade like than TT... which i dont have an issue with. You will low side or high side if you screw up... plain and simple. But the bikes and the game play are much more forgiving than TT. Now i say they are more forgiving because you can trail brake but not to the extreme... you can run corners wide and still sustain a good amount of speed... the computer will pass you if you run wide though. You really have to work the suspension on these bikes, they like to squat the rear and upset the bike... the Honda right out of the box plows like a pig (and you have to use it on most of the challenges)... making life difficult. Its by no means "easy." I think the tracks still feel slightly narrow, not as narrow as TT feels, but still slightly narrower than they really are. I have yet to complete a clean lap! a tire will drop off, you will make contact with a rider. Last years MotoGP seemed to make every track flat. This year they worked on that i think... i'm not catching air quite yet, but you dont get to see some of the turn ins on tracks that you shouldnt see them... The challenges (to gain points to hook the bike up) are exactly the same as last year... but since the bikes behave 100% different than last years game... its basically like you are starting all over again. you start the career mode with either the Kenny Roberts bike or some other busted pile of shit. you can put your own paint/graphics on it. Yes i run a black and yellow bike with "MMSports" down the side.... Starting with these two bikes makes for a challenge. Neither bike is a proven winner... but its all they give you to win with. The more you win, the more bikes are unlocked for your enjoyment. but if you are a suzuki boy and though you were going to jump right on the suzuki motoGP bike... you are wrong, and you'll be working to ride your favorite bike. I'd score it 7.5-8/10. its not the greatest game ever to hit the streets... but its a fairly refined game that most people can pick up and play well with the proper amount of practice... that most motorcycle games require to play. As i continue my racing with MotoGP 2007 i reserve the right to add and modify this post... i've yet to go on live with this game... and i need much more practice and a lot more time refining the bike to compete on live. - JustinG - 09-25-2007 HALO 3 OMG - WRXtranceformed - 09-25-2007 white97dsm Wrote:HALO 3 OMG + eleventy billion!!!!11!!!11 - CaptainHenreh - 09-25-2007 ZOMG TEH HALOZ! I recently built a new computer that will do the same thing for years to come. Every month? More like every 3-4 years or so. I can live with that  - .RJ - 09-26-2007 My desktop is 4-5 years old and I can watch porn and read the internets just as good as when it was new  - Apoc - 09-26-2007 Computer upgrades end up equaling how often people replace their consoles. You may piece together bits over time on a desktop but in the end you end up replacing everything for about the same cost and at the same pace as buying new consoles. consoles = don't worry about upgrading but you reaplce the entire thing every few years desktops = upgrade piece by piece but you've always got the latest and greatest Same difference. - mrbaggio - 09-26-2007 Has anyone played the Team Fortess 2 beta? The real release is not for a few days. Does anyone plan on playing it? - damnit458 - 09-26-2007 mrbaggio Wrote:Has anyone played the Team Fortess 2 beta? The real release is not for a few days. I heard a lot of good things about it from friends but I think I'm going to wait on CoD 4 in a month. - HAULN-SS - 09-26-2007 yeah, i agree. CoD4 is going to pwn all I think. |
