Gonna take a beating to the RE92s? maybe....i'm gonna see if Jen is down with giving me a set of RE-01R's as an early birfday present 8) that's really the only thing i want changed on the car before i compete. i'm losing my patience with the 92's fast. - Nis01 - 09-04-2007 ScottyB Wrote:maybe....i'm gonna see if Jen is down with giving me a set of RE-01R's as an early birfday present 8)Best bday present ever. I have only run those tires for one track weekend but am quite amazed at how well they gripped even for their first time out. Also seemed to have minimal wear considering the abuse I gave them practicing with the new brake pads. - ScottyB - 09-04-2007 Nis01 Wrote:Also seemed to have minimal wear considering the abuse I gave them practicing with the new brake pads. eeeexcellent. i have a few pounds advantage on you so if they're dealing well with the abuse i'm sure you're giving them, then hopefully they're going to last a good while with me. - HAULN-SS - 09-04-2007 ScottyB Wrote:that's really the only thing i want changed on the car before i compete. i'm losing my patience with the 92's fast. Fuckin' aye. I hate the ones on my car. They are the least durable tire i've ever seen in my life, or nova roads eat dicks? I've got one with a pretty noticeable bulge in the sidewall, already had one blow out the sidewall, and have another with a slow leak right now. Not to mention their treadwear sucks, especially for the amount of traction they don't have. - ScottyB - 09-04-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:They are the least durable tire i've ever seen in my life, or nova roads eat dicks? no, they're just an all-around failure in every way. the only thing i've heard is that they're really good on dirt. go figure. - HAULN-SS - 09-04-2007 that surprises me. I'd figure the gravel would rip them to shreds - .RJ - 09-04-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:I'd figure the gravel would rip them to shreds You're kidding, right? - Chris - 09-05-2007 ScottyB Wrote:kind of reminds me of the time Jay and I competed in his Si at richmond and.... haha he was so pissed

Mike also got me by .0x seconds or something in the last round after i went. i need to auto-x again, that was fun. there are too many damn people around here though! events fill up within 15 minutes of the on-line registration

Yeah, there is a little bit of vibration/noise present on coasting. Not always there but enough that I notice it. -T - ScottyB - 09-11-2007 KPWSerpiente Wrote:Might as well post on behalf of Lee's (my) car. ah that's right! good to have you back behind the wheel. - Andy - 09-11-2007 NASIOC has threads on gear whine, Scotty. - ScottyB - 09-11-2007 Andy Wrote:NASIOC has threads on gear whine, Scotty. 10-4, i've read through many of them but i just wanted to get any additional information on people here with experiences like mine. i prefer to get feedback from people here instead of big sites like that if i can help it. - HAULN-SS - 09-11-2007 What's wrong with gear whine? i always liked hearing it - Evan - 09-11-2007 *thinking way back* Yes mine had gear whine while coasting. I never minded it or even thought it out of the ordinary. Not nearly as annoying as Nasioc whine.
