the discount is mostly on like actual parts (brake Caliper, rotors, etc, etc...), not so much batteries, paint, oil, put it this way, stuff behind the counter, bigger discount, stuff infront of counter, 0-little discount.....

Actually what is killing you guys is that the system resets the "discount" every few weeks.

Evan, the system is not linked between stores. The only stores I can confirm are Harrisonburg Main Street and Vienna VA off of 123. I will check tomorrow to make sure the highest commercial is setup at vienna.

I can promise that Vienna still works... it didnt work in chantilly... but that guy was an idiot and i couldnt even talk to him.
I was able to save about 10% on a bunch of stuff... but my cat netted me almost a 30% savings.

Pretty sure its a commercial account and still in effect. Not sure anything needs to be done to use it.

DJ had set it up, with the highest discount. But, if I remember correctly, unless you buy X amount a month, it resets to the lowest discount. So when DJ worked there he had to always reset it to the highest level. It only works on parts, not carwax and air fresheners.

Yeah, unfortunately only the commercial manager can put it at the highest.
PS- Even at the lower levels, axles and stuff like that are significantly cheaper. Just say put it on the madison motorsports commercial account when they are ringing you up. I only made sure it was good for the hburg one off of south main, and vienna one off of maple avenue.

There's always the clearance finder on rockauto, its kind of a crap shoot but its worth looking for stuff there. A set of spark plug wires for the Miata is like $18, OEM or "performance" ones are $50, which is reeeee-diculous. Cheap car, she's gettin cheap parts.

FYI, oil and filters don't count for this Advance discount. It's basically the stuff that you can't get by wandering around the store. Anything that comes from BOH (back of house) is typically fair game.

Hey Guys,
I had my own commercial account for a while as well, almost all of the brands that Advance carries exclusively is on discount. The only downside is, if you don't maintain a level of purchases per month the discount will drop to zero. It's a classification of the account, which most store managers will set to Gold in the very beginning.

Its under Madison Motorsports. Its been almost a decade since I worked for AA so I have no idea how it's setup.
