And I already have some mortars for my mobile celebration. - ScottyB - 07-03-2007 ViPER1313 Wrote:I pushed on the seat trying to make the airbag activate. this had my laughing pretty good ViPER1313 Wrote:This time its the transmission. Its leaking at a seam / drain plug at the bottom. With 4000k miles on it. Still shifts fine, would never have noticed it if I hadn't changed the oil. My 164k mile, gear grinding, 3rd gear asplodin SHO transmission doesn't leak a drop. Say it with me: HECHO EN ARGINTINA  . well with 4,000,000 miles what do you expect? can you tell if it's tranny fluid or motor oil? maybe grease that got hot and has thinned out? - Scott - 07-03-2007 ScottyB Wrote:ViPER1313 Wrote:I pushed on the seat trying to make the airbag activate. I could tell you stories all day about my wife's 2000 Jetta........ - Sijray21 - 07-06-2007 god that's sexy... i still love white VW hatches. Even better with gold wheels. Good luck with the problems Adam, good thing for the warranty! - BLAIR - 07-06-2007 ![]() ![]() couple more motivating pics.... this car makes me like the mk5... - ViPER1313 - 08-08-2007 Back to the dealership: 6200miles This time its a poor fitting airbox that came loose and ate 1/4 of the way through my upper radiator hose. - ScottyB - 08-08-2007 so wait, its a poorly fitting fastener that came loose, or does the airbox fit so poorly it loosened itself up? - ViPER1313 - 08-08-2007 Its the front part of the air intake tube - basically the silencer part that attaches to the radiator support. Its a 3-part plastic assembly that snaps together. The 2 main parts fit so poorly they became unattached, allowing the part attached to the air intake tube to rub against the radiator hose. The top cover piece was laying upside down in the middle of the silencer assembly. Horrible design. - ScottyB - 08-08-2007 duct tape and zip ties my friend. - ViPER1313 - 08-08-2007 I might tape it or insulate the radiator hose (after the dealership replaces the old hose and pieces.) This is also a great excuse to install a CAI - ScottyB - 08-08-2007 it would be pretty cool to open up that I-5, i love the way those sound - Evan - 08-08-2007 ScottyB Wrote:duct tape and zip ties my friend.on a 6,000 mile car you know you drive a german car when..... - ScottyB - 08-08-2007 Evan Wrote:you know you drive a german car when..... and you wonder why german cars have such an aftermarket. we're replacing shit the minute we turn the key. - HAULN-SS - 08-08-2007 speaking of turning a key - have you driven anything yet, or bought anything? - ScottyB - 08-08-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:speaking of turning a key - have you driven anything yet, or bought anything? yes, no. i don't want to derail Adam's thread more as it is though, i'll make my own in a little while. - BLAIR - 08-08-2007 U best be going to h20 in OC this yea.. since you actually have a VW now |
