#97 SM

#21 STUnner

Looks like the event is going to be organized as a fund raiser for those VT families that have lost a loved one. Wear some maroon and orange to the autocross in support.

Technically my friend's car is STS, but im gonna bring my stock intake so we can compete in G prepared, yay for FWD being classed a lot lower than AWD. Its not going to matter anywaywa, his manifold is cracked so we will ahve an interesting time.

I'd like to try to make it down to this event - gonna depend on how it's looking come this weekend..if so, i'd be down for grilling and drinks - how's the weather looking downt hat way for this weekend?

- BLINGMW - 04-18-2007

I've heard it's supposed to be 70 and awesome.

*edit* BTW, Jess and I are 117 and 711 DSP

- D_Eclipse9916 - 04-18-2007

Mark said he is also going to try to make it down....so we will have a decent number of MMers autocrossing!

Channing, the offer sounds great, my ride is what makes the decision.

- HAULN-SS - 04-18-2007

- Nis01 - 04-18-2007

And STS2 has 5 (including one car that is registered, but not legal for the class), including at least two really good autocrossers (i'm not in that count)

Ok, since no one else has made official plans I will. Meeting time is 6:40am on Sunday, Rockingham Lot, leaving by 6:50.
I have a black bmw, my name is Peter. Cell phone is (seven oh three) 407-0906 if you need to get ahold of me. Shea are you meeting up at Rockingham?

- Scott - 04-19-2007

if you guys leave by 6:30, you could meet up with us at 7 in Staunton

- JackdaMak - 04-19-2007

I'm debating on joining the driving list... but for now i'll join the spectating and plan on driving down to make a longer line of cars Smile Kinda wanna go visit my friend at tech too...

if you all do enough convincing for my "beast" 145 dyno'd Stratus to autocross i might switch lol

- D_Eclipse9916 - 04-19-2007

dude, 70 wheel horsepower Mark isw making it out in his Fox, you can make it out with double the horsepower.

If you want to participate in what is probably the safest, most economical intro to motorsports, you should enter. It has absolutely nothing to do with your car, as long as it's at least somewhat mechanically sound and won't roll over. And I promise you'll be challenged, learn a lot, and have fun in ANY car.

- xvxax - 04-20-2007

Come out and run! In the last autocross there was an automatic Caprice Wagon that came out, any car is a fun autocross car. I'm an instant autocross addict.
That being said I'm getting antsy. I want it to be Sunday like... now.

I'm not sure if we can make it to a BBQ because my friend is coming down to Harrisonburg for the weekend, and he has to get back to Northern Virginia that night. We'll see though, thanks for the generous offer.

Does everyone else want to leave earlier and meet up with the group in Staunton? Or would you rather get more sleep? Honestly, I'll do anything. Might be cool to drive down with a bigger group.
