You can still hit something at an autox... - .paul - 01-29-2007 i watched a mustang fly out of control and go into a light pole - BLINGMW - 01-29-2007 How about the vette that rolled (literally) a dumpster! :o - MidasHands - 01-29-2007 Great... NOW I really want to go out and AutoX. I'll go watch a few events and then decide what comes first! I also heard it was pretty rough on your tires - and tires for the Elise are not cheap. - ScottyB - 01-29-2007 MidasHands Wrote:Great... NOW I really want to go out and AutoX. meh, don't sweat it too much. you have to be way out of control to mess up that bad at an auto-x. almost all the "situations" i've seen have been people with highly boosted cars or big displacement stuff like vettes. it's kinda rough on your tires but that's about it. and even then, your tires are so biased towards performance that even if you are hacking at the wheel they'll take the punishment well. it's a great feeling to beat up on times posted by cars with twice your power 8) - Andy - 01-29-2007 .RJ Wrote:Andy Wrote:Autox's aren't held on tracks. They're held in parking lots. I wasn't disagreeing with you, dummy. Just pointing out that autox's aren't held on tracks. - Evan - 01-29-2007 ![]() + ![]() + = no more ![]() in your
- JustinG - 01-29-2007 why would someone be worried about ants in their starfish???? starfish clearly live under water and ants would drown if they tried to get into a starfish. - Dave - 01-30-2007 :holding head down in shame: welcome to the club! you'll quickly learn that very few things around here stay serious or on-topic, but we love it. It's the special type of ADD you get when you hit the GFCP (go-fast-crack-pipe). Don't even worry about going out and checking out an autoX. Sign up for it and just drive as hard as you want. There is nobody holding a gun to your head saying you have to push it to its limits and everybody will respect you for actually letting your car do it what it was made for. Plus, it's crazy cheap compared to some other addictions :-). I just autoX for fun, I could give a shit what kind of times I actually post. - JustinG - 01-30-2007 same here, im slow as balls, now back to the starfish.... - .RJ - 01-30-2007 white97dsm Wrote:why would someone be worried about ants in their starfish???? starfish clearly live under water and ants would drown if they tried to get into a starfish. :?: I hope you're kidding. Maybe one of these would have been better in place of a starfish: - MidasHands - 01-30-2007 Thanks for the words of confidence Dave. I will go out and have some fun and not worry about my times (or my driving...) I was going to mention something about the thread being hi-jacked, but I figured it was normal for this forum. and call me crazy, but I don't get the starfish or the balloon with the knot??? - .RJ - 01-30-2007 Did you never play????
- MidasHands - 01-30-2007 Yes, but my pictionary playing must be as bad as my driving! - HAULN-SS - 01-30-2007 Ants can hold their breath for a really long time under water, by the way. - BLINGMW - 01-30-2007 ScottyB Wrote:you have to be way out of control to mess up that bad at an auto-x. heh, I was going to say you'd have to be a complete moron, but I knew the moment I said it, I'd be putting a hex on myself for the next event or something. You really do have to be driving WAY beyond your abilities, which would even be ok as long as you don't also do it in the wrong place, ie, near a dumpster, fence, curb, wall, light pole, stop gate, or spectator. By all means, you must try it. I'm quite sure the chances of getting in an accident are higher on the way to the event. - Hunter - 01-30-2007 HAULN-SS Wrote:Ants can hold their breath for a really long time under water, by the way. Did you learn that on Beakman's world or Bill Nye the science guy? (both of which kicked ass) - HAULN-SS - 01-30-2007 I can't remember where I learned that, but yes, both those shows kicked ass. I can remember watching Bill Nye more though. - ScottyB - 01-30-2007 MidasHands Wrote:I was going to mention something about the thread being hi-jacked, but I figured it was normal for this forum. actually, you've caught the forum on a "good" day. whatever you do, keep religeon, politics, brand whoring and drag racing talk to a minimum and we'll be a pretty happy family - JustinG - 01-30-2007 ScottyB Wrote:actually, you've caught the forum on a "good" day. whatever you do, keep religeon, politics, brand whoring and drag racing talk to a minimum and we'll be a pretty happy family did you guys ever hear the one of jesus drag racing on the street against the democratic party in a limited edition MUGEN, SPOON, JDM, Ralliart, TYPE R, ford escort? ![]() PS go do an AutoX |
