- white_2kgt - 11-13-2006 .RJ Wrote:You're committed to coming with the deep fryer now Yea, I think I'm going to insist on that pass now .An extra gas grill tank would be nice. I'll bring mine, but if we are going to fry all night it would be nice to have a backup, and my 100lb tank won't hookup to the fryer, stupid thing. We just need some sort of dry-rub or injection sauce. I'm going to do a cajun one for thanksgiving so we can do that if everyone likes spicy, or if we do more than 1 turkey we can mix-n-match. Fry time is about 40 minutes and then 15 minutes wrapped in foil to finish the cooking and to let the juices flow back in the meet. - .RJ - 11-13-2006 Does anyone else have a gas tank? Who's volunteering to buy turkeys and dry rub/sauce? - CaptainHenreh - 11-13-2006 Julie and I are going to bring one turkey...for frying. - Mike - 11-13-2006 i'm prolly bringing myself plus one, need to check calendar when i get back to work tomorrow. oh yeah, we need to fix the event thing to allow +1s. - white_2kgt - 11-13-2006 CaptainHenreh Wrote:Julie and I are going to bring one turkey...for frying. I will send you instructions on prepping the turkey. If frozen it needs to be FULLY thawed (usually takes 3 days), you MUST remove the giblets and the injection/dry rub needs to happen 24hrs PRIOR to cooking. Once we know who's bring turkey I'll write up some instructions on how to prep it. Oh and NO bigger than 14.5lbs. - CaptainHenreh - 11-13-2006 white_2kgt Wrote:CaptainHenreh Wrote:Julie and I are going to bring one turkey...for frying. Thank you.
- Dragon - 11-13-2006 I'll bring a turkey, and I'll bring the gas tank off our grill. - Feersty - 11-13-2006 Damn this shit is blowing up.You doing the cajun Turducken again? The thread from last year's was hilarious! - .RJ - 11-13-2006 Feersty Wrote:You doing the cajun Turducken again? Yes - Evan - 11-13-2006 good times - Maengelito - 11-17-2006 i'm not 100% that i can make it, but if i can, you know i'll be there with big blue. last year was a lot of fun, i highly recommend any of the current students be there. maybe an current stu vs. alum beer pong tourney? - G.Irish - 11-17-2006 Bad timing for the students, we'd have to push it back to the 17th. - .RJ - 11-17-2006 So..... what do y'all want to do about the liquor? Send me some hamiltons and let me pick it up, or everyone bring something? I can make a list of what I'll need to fill the slushie machine with - Maengelito - 11-17-2006 if i can make it, big blue will have red bulls in it, some beer and vodka. if needed, i can bring some more liqour too if people want - .RJ - 11-17-2006 Maeng you're cool with RB&V.
