Let's get the Truth Out... - jnylynne - 01-08-2007 Well, first off his name was Bruce Myers Staton.. he had a heart of gold... he was one of the best people I know... It was not his fault and he was not speeding by any means... In fact the person that turned in front of him got a ticket, so it was not his fault! So for those of you who have said you don't feel sympathy for him, you should reconsider... Bruce was one of a kind and he touched so many lives, its unbelievable... But I guess its true, the good ones do die young... RIP Brucey... 7*31*85--11-10-06 Lost but never forgotten... <33 your best friend at heart-- Re: Let's get the Truth Out... - CaptainHenreh - 01-08-2007 jnylynne Wrote:Well, first off his name was Bruce Myers Staton.. he had a heart of gold... he was one of the best people I know... We'll go with that anyway. We weren't making light of your loss, but just because the person in front of him was ticketed doesn't mean he wasn't being irresponsible on his motorcycle. It also didn't make him a bad person, and you would find that sentiment if you read closely. We're all pretty fragile creatures, as things go, and motorcycles are doubly dangerous. Therefore Bruce's story should be given as a warning to be safe and responsible while driving anything. We might be a little harsh because we come so close to it ourselves, but don't judge us by that. Believe me, we'd all rather these types of accidents didn't happen. - jnylynne - 01-08-2007 My name is Jennifer... Yes I understand, I was just wanting to clarify the way the accident was portrayed... However Bruce was not at fault, thats what the police told his mother... There are still questions of what exactly happened, but there were a few comments made about not feeling sympathy for him and thats why I wanted to clarify... - Ryan T - 01-08-2007 Sorry for your lose Jennifer, but everything else I've heard says otherwise. Police and emergency services told the DNR as well as people I work with that he was traveling well above the speed limit. Were not heartless we just want people to be safe out there. - Maengelito - 01-08-2007 i was one who stated that i didnt have sympathy for him, but there was a caveat that went with it. if he was riding around like an idiot, then no i dont feel for him. but i wasnt there and i didnt witness it, so if he was riding responsibly, then i do feel bad. from speculation though, it seems as though he had a history of doing stupid things on the bike. pure speculation, if its not true, then disregard! my main point is that sometimes things will catch up to you so you gotta be careful out there. i'm not trying to be insensitive about the situation but i hate for one of members to get caught up in something like this because of some stupid stuff they were doing. Re: Let's get the Truth Out... - Feersty - 01-08-2007 I feel sorry for your loss, Jenny, as none of us knew him personally. EDIT: No need to turn this into an inquisition. Jenny stated what she knew of the accident. -G |
