This is true... and of course, by Derek's own logic you could just by a cheaper Legacy GT and make up the performance difference.

hey RetardJ, i asked in my first post if they were going to make a sedan version.

And the sedan looks a lot sleeker than some bulky hatch any day of the week.

And also, i'm pretty sure legacy GT's are the sexiest car in their lineup right now, hatch included.

yeah, nice lines, and angles where they shouldbe to make it agressive.

- HAULN-SS - 09-13-2007

by the hatch not looking sleek, I guess I mean it looks like cartoon tennishoes.

- .RJ - 09-13-2007

You're hopeless.

+1

I really like the overall look of the car, but those tail lights look horrible to me. It's like Subaru bought the tail lights off ebay or something.

- WRXtranceformed - 09-13-2007

Why Subaru tryin to be steelin my Altezza's lites yo??

- HAULN-SS - 09-13-2007

You're hopeless if you think "speed" more when you see the hatch than you do when you see the sedan.

- .RJ - 09-13-2007

Good job putting words in my post.

Sleek definitely doesnt come to mind when you have big gold wheels, hood scoop, flares, and a coffee table wing.

- HAULN-SS - 09-13-2007

take off the wing and I think it still looks pretty sleek. Everything has a curve to it, the headlights, grill, inserts, hood. fender bulges, the side profile, etc.

sleek1 /slik/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[sleek] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
ÔÇôadjective, -er, -est. 1. smooth or glossy, as hair, an animal, etc.
2. well-fed or well-groomed.
3. trim and graceful; finely contoured; streamlined: a sleek sports car.
4. smooth in manners, speech, etc.; suave.
5. cleverly or deceitfully skillful; slick: a sleek confidence man.

- HAULN-SS - 09-13-2007

curve and contour are synonyms by the way, and "finely" is a matter of opinion, i'd say its finely countoured. The hatch may be too, except the entire car is one big curve, which takes away from it.

- Evan - 09-13-2007

stupid argument, but that mockup of new sti 5 door looks much more agressive than the current 4 door.

of course that means nothing, because mockups always make the cars look more agressive than they turn out to be

I am really loving the look of this car, everything seems to be quite finalized since the only things that are covered are the lower portion of the car. I'm not really into the quad exhaust or the weird altezzas on the back but overall I would love to get my hands on this car.

Of note, in the car pictured it has the 6-pot brake calipers of the Spec-C RA-R... Confusedhock: Also loving the front and rear flared fenders. In some other pictures I found it looks to be that they'll be giving some more bolstering to the stock seats which is MUCH NEEDED. Anyways, probably won't get all that cool stuff here in the states but still neat to see what Subaru is doing for the enthusiast.

- WRXtranceformed - 09-22-2007

It looks a LOT lower than the current STis too. I wonder if they're going to come from the factory with that aggressive of a stance....

- Nis01 - 09-22-2007

I doubt it will be that low but they did redesign the suspension characteristics of the car to reduce understeer. Test driving of the 2008 WRX people have said that car rotation is much easier with the new design so the STi may end up with a pretty decent suspension setup from the factory. The car also has a full cage in it so I doubt some of those goodies are making it to us. Smile

- ScottyB - 09-22-2007

they need to add some air to those front tires

It looks like those pictures are a little misleading in regards to ride height. In each picture its in a hard left hander, so the suspension on the right side should be pretty compressed.
