Chris, I imagine an off the shelf Joe Rocket suit should fit you pretty well... I've noticed that their stuff is measured more "American" than your typical Shift, or Berik leathers.

The A* jackets I've tried on that fit well in the shoulders/arms are also snug around my waist... maybe a bit too snug (but I'm working on that) while the JR stuff has plenty of room.

Looks can be deceiving... most shirts and jackets that fit otherwise are way too tight across my back and as a result I can't move my arms freely. I think the largest they make is a 56 and I wear at least a 58, if not a 60, jacket... my shoulders/back are just too freaking broad.
Even if that did fit the inseam and sleeve length are built for guys who are over 6' tall. As I suffer from short arms and legs they simply do not fit. I couldn't even buy a leather jacket from Wilsons without having the sleeves shortened. Trust me, I know off the racket does not work for me as I've been dealing with it for 15 years. Hopefully I can do something about it.

i believe my suit is a 58 - but then i had to get it custom fit cause it was WAY too huge around my waist area
joe rocekt is made for the.. sterotypical american
OR just get a syed - custom made for you, goto a tailor and have them measure you, goto syed.com insert the measurements, a few weeks later custom suit, you can even have your name on it

It occured to me today that my racing suit is a 62 and the zipper no longer works because it tore from the seam. I found an A* Stage that comes in a 64 but the problem is it's 2 piece.

Reinvigorating this discussion...
Any of you all plan on doing any schools this year? For a first timer, how much street time would you recommend prior to taking Level1?

I'm doing level 2 next month... I need to stop slacking and sign up.
You should be comfortable riding a bike around at speed, and around town - being on track the first time with a bike can be total sensory overload if you arent already comfortable on one.

That's what I needed to know... I'm leaning 80% towards getting a bike - just don't know when I'm going to be able to fit the acquisition / learning phase into my timeline based on my work / travel schedule. Hmmmm...
