Is there a "money's not an issue" option that some might be interested in?
I prefer to keep my camping to camping trips.

I don't think that's anywhere near outragous. We're all big boys and make big boy money, time to start spending it. I'm not going to argue the financials of it since we obviously have different perspectives of money worth spending... just throwing it out there in case anyone else doesn't mind dropping the coin.

I'm down for camping and doing what I did last year. Karting the drunks back to the track after a night out on Cannery Row so they can stumble back to the campsite, driving back to crash in a friend's hotel room, and then using our vehicle pass to drive them in the next morning.

I'm camping.
So, I was checking out minivan rental prices - ~$350 will rent a van from any of the major companies (with no discounts applied - I know I get one from work, I'm sure many of you guys do too) for Thursday (9/19) through Monday (9/23).
As for airfare - I'm seeing about $350 roundtrip per person to Oakland from Dulles. The times are really shitty though - hopefully they'll list more flights as things get a little closer? Thats using Priceline. I'm sure the "name your own" would knock it down a bit more. Jetblue is only booking out as far as June at this point, so I don't know about that.
Edited because I confused San Diego with San Jose - I really meant Oakland.
