I rule! - ButtDyno - 05-03-2004 Shrug. Email Michael Krause I guess. john - .RJ - 05-03-2004 The same guy that said my check was in the mail but he did not have my address?
- Mike - 05-03-2004 Any relation to Karen? - .RJ - 05-03-2004 Dont think so. He's on the left coast. - ButtDyno - 05-03-2004 I don't think Karen's name has the trailing 'e'.. - G.Irish - 05-03-2004 .RJ Wrote:The same guy that said my check was in the mail but he did not have my address? Those guys are in for a rude awakening if they think they can stiff people on something at an event like this. - Mike - 05-03-2004 Gerald is gonna bring the pain train! - Feersty - 05-05-2004 Do you y'all have an pics of the assbags? Good photochop material. - Dave - 05-05-2004 I figure I should chime in, since I was there too. Although I have done some hard times (remember the Beaver last October G?) and dealt with some total pricks (Porsche driver at CMP), this was probably my worst experience as well. Sometimes, I leave a NASA event feeling unappreciated, but for the most part I'm usually satisfied. As a customer, Rev It Up is an incredible deal. As an employee, you're getting the shaft, bigtime. No matter how many times I told them that I had to leave early, the fags kept trying to get me to stay the whole day on Sunday. I got along pretty well on Saturday with the "Pros" until the end of the day. At that point, it was pointed out that they would get in trouble if we got to drive the car (mind you, random strangers with zero high intensity driving experience have been driving these cars all day long), therefore they drove for about 20 minutes while we got to watch. Relations further deteriorated on Sunday. Apparently, it is important the EVERY cone be standing upright, even those after the finish line. Furthermore, we had 3 MMers and 4 "Pros" at a station which could have been operated by 3-4 efficient people, if done properly. There was definitely a pervasive "I'm better than you" attitide at our place, even when there was no justification for it. That was the worst part about it. - Dave - 05-05-2004 Hey Evan, if you had been in the middle of the track, that hoe would never have gone off track. I hope you realize that. I think the best part of the weekend was rolling all the other helpers out on the go-kart track. I'm starting like Karting entirely too much... - .RJ - 05-19-2004 I was just told today, that i would be sent a check by the end of next week even though my tax forms were faxed in immediately after the event (which should have been sent to me before the event, but whatever). RJ - not happy - .RJ - 05-31-2004 I got paid this weekend, and I was shorted by $45. These guys are fucking rediculous. - Mike - 05-31-2004 Why were you shorted? - G.Irish - 05-31-2004 Dave Wrote:I figure I should chime in, since I was there too. Ugh, definitely one of the worst track days ever. But not as bad as the first Valentine's Day 200 for about a dozen MMembers... As for Rev It Up, I hope I run into one of those "pro" drivers on track one day so I can drop kick them into a gravel pit... - JohnC - 05-31-2004 G.Irish Wrote:But not as bad as the first Valentine's Day 200 for about a dozen MMembers I'm still shivering from that... Scary thing was, I actually had fun despite the temps, the wind, crappy food, and not getting any rides on track... - Mike - 05-31-2004 I always hear about the V200 event and thank god I didn't go
- Chris - 06-01-2004 yeah it was so cold I'm surprised I didn't end up with a "black foot" like Adam Sandler in Mr. Deeds. - Dragon - 06-01-2004 Chris Wrote:yeah it was so cold I'm surprised I didn't end up with a "black foot" like Adam Sandler in Mr. Deeds. Not to mention almost no bathroom breaks, no rides, no worker changes, and being stuck with some stupid comp school guy who was supposed to flag for two sessions and decided to just take a nap instead. - Mike - 06-01-2004 What went wrong? Did NASA just overbook the weekend? Not enouh workers? |
