:lol: But yes, and MR I must drive, I drove a 03 Evo, wasn't all that impressed, mostly b/c my test drive sucked, it wasn't that long, I didn't get a chance to get a feel for the car. Oh well, next time!

On top of this, just to give some history that I was unaware of, when the 93 Rx-7 first came out, it set a lot of performance records for that year.(car+driver, etc). On stock sized tires (225 z-rated all around) it pulled 1g on the skid pad and had a 60-0 braking of 110ft. And remember, this was back in 1993, more than 10 years ago.

But yeah, I want one too. But with an LS1. That rotary's bound to pop eventually, so might as well sell it while it still runs.

John- yes, the rotory's is prone to craking/blowing apex seals. Unfortunatley the rotary engine is very finiky in tuning and maintance wise. A lot of people have no idea how to tune/modify/maintane these cars and this is a big reason why these engines (particulary turbo charged rotaries) end up blowing an apex seal. Also the rotary engine doesn't have near as much history or R+D that the piston engine has.
Also piston engines are prone to blowup too (when heavly modified/bad tuning), the only difference is w/ a pistion engine you most likely will have to replace a lot more items than on a rotary. And you are usually not able to drive it after you blow up.

an LS1 FD is literally my realistic dream car. all the goodness of American muscle, with the perfect japanese chassis. i would just feel bad taking that rotary out though, its such a cool engine.
