the offensive pass interference was blatant. you cant push off like that. his arms were practically at full extension, which is how he got that much seperation

nope. just like Steve Young said at halftime, they both had their hands on each other, it was an improvised route, and there was no foul. Like was already mentioned, the flag wasnt thrown until the DB whined about it to the ref, even though the ref was standing right there.
just like the holding call that called back the long pass to the TE (which led to a sack and an INT the next 2 plays and an eventual steelers TD)
big ben's TD was not called a TD until after he was down he moved the ball over the line. The line judge initially spotted the ball.
game was decided by poor officiating like it or not.

If you watch the replay closely and look at some of the pictures taken from different angles, when he's coming down from the swan dive the ball itself crosses the front portion of the endzone line. He did move it across the line after the defender knocked him back a little bit when he hit him.
Even if the ref couldn't see that the ball crossed the line, if they aren't sure they have to go with the call on the field.

Even forgetting that call, the penalties still cost the seahawks 11 points (4 from the missed touchdown in the first, and 7 from the missed in the 3rd), the margin of victory of the steelers...

He definantely did push off, just watch the replay. If that doesn't count as pushing, then the contact in the play where Hasselbeck fumbled shouldn't have counted.

you guys seriously need glasses. Its cool that you are steelers fans and all, but it didnt happen. If he pushed off the DB would have moved backwards. He didnt. He stayed put because he didnt make a cut on the ball and the WR did

officiating did not decide the outcome of the game. was the 78 yard TD run the result of bad officiating? was the trick play for a TD pass the result of bad officiating? no. the seahawks failed to make the plays when it counted. They dominated the beginning, but couldn't keep it going. As much as I like the seahawks, I have to admit, they just didn't get it done. Congrats o the steelers, and as Jim Rome said, "That's one for the thumb. Now we don't have to hear that stupid slogan ever again."
Here's to the offseason. I'll just wait and see what the Patriots do to improve.

My take on the game was that yes the seahawks could not put plays together for most of the game, however, whenever they did manage to put a play together and have it work, they were stripped of anything that they gained from it due to poor officiating.
all in all it was one of the worst superbowls ive seen in a while, it didnt help that of all the teams in the playoffs, 0 of the ones I wanted went on. Between the lackluster commercials and so-so game, I give this one a thumbs down.

Well bad officiating has a much bigger influence in low-scoring sports like football, soccer, and hockey. Two calls ended up costing the Seahawks one touchdown for sure and probably a second.
But whatever, I don't even really care much about football.
