i mean, Charleston is a nice place, no doubt. however, it's weird in that you are either in a nice, pricey neighborhood or the slums. there is literally almost no middle class at all.

My cat isnt evil. She was a feral rescue... its a long story but a friends father who is a park ranger had to kill the mother and father because they were killing birds on Mason Neck... two days later he goes to the visitors center to open up and hears kitten (about 5 days old) in the flower bed. Instead of tossing them in the river... we hand raised them.
She's all white, with a green and blue eye... and all she wants is to sit next to someone. She comes when you call her, which is more than i can say for the boston we have in our house now (no its not mine).

I'm in VA about once a week, mostly in the McLean area and gas is ALWAYS higher there than where I work. Christina lived in VA for a year and I was at her place every weekend, Fairfax, never again.

Its a really pretty area - but I dont know anything other than that with regards to cost of living, jobs, quality, etc.... real small town though, but for a 1 year assignment it might be worth looking into.

Evan - my coworker and her family lives in Chaaazzzton. if you have any specific questions lemme know. she think you'll like it there if you live outside the city, especially if you're used to DC.

My uncle lives outside of Charlestown in Georgetown County I believe, I can gather infos as well for anyone that is interested.
