Charlotsville is nooo problem...I am MOBILE! All I need is a hose and a 3-pronged electrical outlet. I haven't seen the car in the first place, but $150 is a real nice rate for what I am expecting to do (plus .22cents per mile round trip if needed)...wash, clay bar, 2-step polish w/rotary, sealant, wax. I typically charge this much for a glaze and wax on a Lotus Elise, let alone a 2-step polish on a larger vehicle! For the quality I think it is worth it though. If this sounds unreasonable though, I can adjust my services to meet your needs (the both of you).

i have no doubts about your abilities, in fact i've seen your work and its very impressive. this step is basically to get it looking nice so i can sell it though, not for my own personal satisfaction. i think it kinda defeats the purpose to spend money on it to get money from it, ya know? i appreciate the offer though

Not really - spending $100-200 on a professional detail job (or your own supplies and time in my case) is well worth it when it comes time to sell the car and always pays for itself and then some and makes the car easier to sell.

well thats the thing, i'd like to have some supplies aside from my car wash soap, wax and detailer spray. i'd just like to know what you guys prefer but using cost as an issue. can i assume that meguiars or mothers stuff is good, or should i go with other brands? is one particular clay bar much better than the other? or polish or wax, etc. i'd just like to hear some opinions, thast all

ok, the meguiars is the good stuff, I don't like to use the Autozone line though, I get the 'pro' line. It's a little harder to find you usually have to find a place that supplies detailer (ask around the body shops of car dealers). You might be able to email them and ask where you can buy it at too, I have a place just down the street that will sell individual bottles of whatever I want out the back door so that's where I usually go.

Most products that you can buy at autoparts stores are not that good. Search online...once I start listing products, you will easily be over $100, but, I'll try to help anyway suggesting some excellent products:

Do you want to spend $229???? Plus, add costs for more towels, a clay bar and lube at about $20, then car wash soap, wheel cleaner, sponges, window cleaner...I can keep on going. Last but not least, you would need to learn how to use everything!
