luckily i have 2 extra sets of wheels, one winter steelie set and the bling wheels with worn tires.

i'm going to put on the winter steelies and my mom's going to find out what the insurance is going to do with this situation. After summit and when i have time i'm going to replace the suspension, hopefully i'll be getting a fresh set of Si wheels, and then put it on autotrader.

WTF!! sorry dude, thats just recockulous. did you have the azenis on those? (wondering about summit this weekend)?

I guess it was my fault for not putting wheel locks on there, but i moved them over to the teg since i cared about those wheels (si wheels / falkens). The wheels i had on the Si were the GS-R wheels that came on the teg when i bought it. The tires were 2 new michlens and 2 other tires about half-tread. I did want to use them, but i didn't expect anyone to actually steal them, they were shitty GS-R fat-fives in poor condition.

Still pissed about it though, the car's still on the bricks and siccor stands. I'm going to put on the steelies as soon as i get home.

holy crap. Jay do you live in the hood? I mean, gosh. Everything you own gets jacked up. I hope things start to look up or you just might have to move out.

it's actually right behind (physically) the police governmental center that the franconia dispatch ditributes its officers. It's not that bad of a neighborhood (or so i thought), but the afluence of the people in the area is just degrading, they have nothing productive to do so they steal.

This is more irritating than anything else and more of a vent for me to post up on here. I'll be out of town for business immediately following the summit weekend on tuesday and i won't be back till the 29th, which i'm going up to JMU. This is all pending if my cars are still there when i get back and not damaged... I'll be parking the teg at a friends house for that time. Once i return from the trip i will be moving into a townhouse in springfield which i hope is safer for my car(s) and bike.

- .RJ - 10-11-2005

Jay you can keep a car (and bike  ) at my place if you need to while you're gone

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-11-2005

i'm sorry to hear that. It's absolutely ridiculous.

i'd have to agree with that. theives are assholes but they aren't always stupid.

one of the breakins was in a parking garage near the metro, though. i would bet those theives were different.

- Sijray21 - 10-11-2005

History:

break-ins in chronological order::

Civic (summer '04) - broken into at the Franconia/Springfield Metro garage **alarm went off**
----------amp/subs/tools/cds/reciever stolen

Civic (winter '04/'05) - actual theft from Springfield Mall Parking garage
-----------intake/cds/tools stolen and damage to front/rear/steering column of car

Integra (August '05) - Attempted theft and general break-in (neighborhood)
-----------reciever/wheel locks stolen and damage to the body and steering column

Civic (last night) - Wheels stolen (neighborhood)
-----------gs-r wheels stolen, left on jackstands and bricks

....i suck with luck regarding this

- Mike - 10-11-2005

you really need to get out of that area. wheel locks hardly slow a thief down (i can demo at summit if you're willing to donate a socket), and alarms just don't seem to cut it anymore. a lojack-type service or autolock/club device will prevent them from stealing your car, but they provide no break-in help.

- christo - 10-11-2005

2way pager alarm with a weapon at hand?

- Chris - 10-11-2005

you need the car to send a high voltage shock to whoever touches it when armed.

^^ Something I would love to invest in...
