I know this is late notice - but Jess is sick (thanks Matt) and won't be joining us. I futzed up and only sent Felton an email which he didn't get until late this evening - bottom line is I think we're short one worker. If Dave/Lindsay are coming out in caravan with Pete - hopefully one of you guys would be willing to cover Jess' spot. Just posting it here in case you don't get my voice mail (Dave).

Awesome event! I got 10 runs + 3 Fun runs, and I know that some had more than that. Fun course too. The rain held off really well, only drizzle for a little at the end of the 2nd, begning of the 3rd heat. By 1/2 way through the 3rd it was almost dry again.
Best time I've had in the XR to date!

I also had a blast. Kinda nice to know that my est. 140 hp beat ass, POS 240 was somehow able to pull off a time 2 full seconds faster than a 240 with a fully built motor putting down 320 to the wheels (possible bullshit, sounded legit to me from the little I talked to him). His response, "it must be too much power".
Engine held together amazingly, no more blown shocks, and it made it home. Major vibrations from under the transmission tunnel going on and the exhaust is banging against the rear of the car every time I take off, regardless of it being a normal start or a 4k rev dump. Gotta get that one fixed immediately. Only major problem was a flat tire when I walked out to my car this morning (set me back 35 mins by the time I took it off, filled it up, and put it back on). Awesome time for me, all in all.
Pete and Brian, thanks for feeding my addiction. John, thanks for showing Lindsey why we NEED an STi, now I've got a little more ammunition in my belt and she's infected too :twisted:

Might have something to do with all the bolts falling out. Dave didn't mention it, but he lost *another* big-ass bolt yesterday (which was found on course and returned to him). My guess is tranny bellhousing. Get under that thing!

i've never been impressed with any 240s at an autox... i'm gonna guess it is the drivers and not the car. lightweight + rwd + power should be fast, shouldn't it?

I wouldn't have said anything, but immediately after his first run (we were staged beside one another) he wanted to compare times, then the second run, then the third, then he beat me once and he was like "Yes! As long as I beat one MM'er". So it was on. After that it was a runnign joke. He knows he started it ;-).

Oh yeah, another large bolt flew off the car, lord only knows where they are coming from. I'll get it up on a lift this week and figure it out.
