I agree though, before you can say "I want this car," you have to establish what you want in a car. That may very well eliminate almost every car once you fine-tune your desires. Of course, defining your taste may open up other, unforseen avenues and find you something that is perfect that you may have never expected.

I mean guys, remember I still have a motorcycle(I'll be riding tomorrow  ) so I can get my speed fix. But yea, I definitely chose ISAT because I heard that graduates had an easy time finding good paying jobs. I also am already in with the government and will live in Springfield, once I graduate, which is a hop and skip from D.C. I have been dreaming about nice cars, for I don't know how long, and my next car will definitely be my baby. If I get set with a full time job once I graduate in May, then many more avenues open up for me. I just got to be patient and finish out my college career strong(scuba diving Smile next semester).

When, 5 years ago?

If i were to do it again.... I would have been a business/CIS major.

Get a mid 90's sports car i.e. TT Supra or 300zxtt some bucks, throw another 10 G's and you'll own every car on that list, it'll still drop panties and you'll still save money compared to those other cars except the Civic. I know at least 3 guys on this forum will agree.

That may be a far fetch to say that. For a good example of a TT 6-speed supra your looking at AT LEAST 24/25k. And thats with mileage in the 80s probably. Drop another 10k and your at about 35k and thats more than anything on his list. Not to mention the maintance on a 600hp car (wouldn't take 10gs to get you that number either) because your looking at tires more often, gas, shit breaking, etc. Feeding the boost habit can get expensive.

Granted I haven't researched the Supra TT as well as the z32 but why the 6-sp, why not a earlier year w/ the 5sp, wouldn't that be cheaper? That would drop the purchase price. Who said anything about a 600 hp, anything above 300whp would be crazy and beyond my comprehension. From the little that I've read, one would not have to upgrade turbos in order to break that goal, breathing upgrades and engine tuning is all that's require. Please correct if I'm wrong.

I don't know Feersty's situation. Maybe he wants a nice car that he can track without having to maintain it. I don't know. I was just sharing my bias and preference. Buying an older car with a lot of potential, and drop coin in mods, not purchase price/insurance/taxes/etc etc.

If I was in Feersty's situation and had majored in something that paid money, I would buy a s14, sr20det swap, big turbo and call it the day. But that's just me. If I was really loaded, Z32 would be it. From what I've gathered on the Z32 board, owning one is something like a red badge of courage. I rather like that.

the basis of the 600hp comment was based on you saying, "drop another 10gs in." I dont' see any way to spend 10gs on a supra and not have 600hp, lol.

You're gonna need more than 10g's to win at racewarz!!!!!
