hahaha.

My question for the moment is, explain other major time commitments and how you can fit in your responsibilities as an officer at the same time. I know this is hard to answer, but give it a shot. We know classes and school work are the most important, I'd just like to know how well you are with time management.

Damn finally a quetstion I can answer!!!!
Besides the normal classes we all take, I also work 5 days a week feeding your hungry faces at festival -_-. Thus far my grades have been good, should have a 3-3.5 at the end of this semester. I also lift 5 days a week. As ive said, thus far it has been smooth, and im steadily making money towards a car next summer. Ive also scheduled it so that I will not work on Wednesdays next semester so that I can attend all the meetings -_-

Ok im not posting on here for a while, someone else post so it looks like i have some resemblence of a life

I have nothing other then classes to attend to. I may have problems again like I had this semester with tests on Thursday but I will work around it.

I would add that one of the few things that matters the most to me is that the officers be committed and honest. If you say you're going to do something, do it - no excuses or dicking around, because that will kill this club quicker than anything. MM has earned a solid reputation in the motorsport community because of hard work and integrity, and I hope that all the candidates realize that the expectation is that they raise the bar even further. Great ideas are just that - what we need is execution. Good luck fellas - see you all on Wednesday 8)

i agree 100000%. MM's reputation was founded on dedication and volunteering your time. although MM is technically a college club, very few of the people that rely on MM's time and commitment are still in college. NASA is a national organization where people go to race their cars. i doubt that the cobettos would understand that you are really hungover from playing beer pong all night and couldnt help flagging or working grid. i'm not saying you cant do those things, but just remember to be responsible as an officer.

and candidates, if you've got other ideas that werent addressed by any of the questions here, feel free to throw out your ideas.

Another issue that I thought I would bring up. With an officer comes that unwritten law that you attend events, this sometimes requires waking up ass early on Saturday and Sunday morning. Or losing your whole weekend while being at the track. So as Chris mentioned earlier, time management is important. Even if you have a test the following week after an event, you should still make every effort to be there.

he wrote a very concise speech, which in and of itself proves he cares if he took the time to write so many lengthy posts on the election topic. he has been to a fair number of MM events as well (scenic drive, homecoming party, summit) so i suppose enough people knew him to feel confident in voting for him.

yeah thanks for the vote of confidence feersty

I work 5 days a week, and this semester I scheduled my work before I knew about the club. Next semester I will still be working all 5 days, but I made sure I have all the wednesdays off.

And I have been to a meeting, I was at the first one, I actually skipped work for that one. But sorry, guess Ill have to introduce myself next time.

- Feersty - 12-02-2004

Yeah dude definitely, I walked by you at the MM halloween party saw you were drunk, but i didnt even know it was you.
