I'll let you know about the next one... - white_2kgt - 11-29-2004 pics? who is doing course design? --chad - BLAIR - 11-29-2004 sorry i missed it... was dealing with car issues all weekend - getfast - 11-29-2004 Final (I hope) results are now up here: http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/ I'd say let's get 'em out to the participants, wait a day or two so I can make changes if necessary, then get who-ever to put 'em on nasaracing.net like Wednesday or Thursday. That was fun  Jon - Chris - 11-29-2004 white_2kgt Wrote:pics? who is doing course design? we were all kinda busy setting up and I'm not sure if pics were taken (by us). For the next course design, it sounds like RJ and G won't be there so its up to me and anyone who would like to setup. Jon Felton helped a ton this past time with the course design, so if he can make the next one I'm sure he won't mind. - getfast - 11-29-2004 Chris Wrote:For the next course design, it sounds like RJ and G won't be there so its up to me and anyone who would like to setup. I was looking at the very end of the lot when cleaning up and we still had plenty of space left with runoff room... I say we try and use a little more - getfast - 11-30-2004 Chris Wrote:kickass... I was looking at the very end of the lot when cleaning up and we still had plenty of space left with runoff room... I say we try and use a little more Absolutely! All the comments about the course I've seen in various forums have been good (except the ones regarding that evil box at the finish of course  ) so I think we should try to stick to the big/fast/tricky concept for sure. I'm putting the word out about this next one so hopefully it will be full/overflowing. When will registration be online? I'd like to hype it starting this sunday 12/5 at the VMSC autocross down there  See you guys on the 18th- Jon - Chris - 11-30-2004 Gerald is working on setting up a registration where each entrant is automatically entered and can pay pal in advance. He's traveling now, so when he has time to get registration going he will. - getfast - 11-30-2004 Chris Wrote:Gerald is working on setting up a registration where each entrant is automatically entered and can pay pal in advance. He's traveling now, so when he has time to get registration going he will. We tried that many years ago. People hate pre-paying for autocross. They like to pre-reg for free and get on a waiting list and all show up to get spots. The best thing you can do is like it was done this past time - expect 80+ cars and get 60+ to actually show up. Otherwise you'll only convince like 30 people to pre-pay, and you may be left with a less-than-full event. IMHO of course... and hopefully times have changed. Oh, some good videos have surfaced from Sunday. The first is Ed Raymundo on a 47-second run: http://www.autocross.us/videos/NASA_02/Ed_Raymundo.wmv The second is a bumper cam from another Miata: http://www.autocross.us/videos/NASA_02/Jim_Haltom-bumper.wmv These two are ~6mb and right-click-save-as. THAT's how it's done! I wish I had skillz like that  Jon - Mike - 11-30-2004 damn that course was fast you crazy mofos! - Chris - 11-30-2004 you know damn right. next one should be fast as well- I love that lot. - bassmangrammy - 12-01-2004 I'm sorry I missed it. That looked awesome. - getfast - 12-03-2004 Compilation/screw-ups video is here (10mb right click save as): http://www.autocross.us/videos/NASA_02/Compilation.wmv Good stuff! Jon - Mike - 12-03-2004 bahahah that video is great! great course it looks like... so fast, so tricky... you rat bastards. picking 4 cones out of that last car = priceless. - getfast - 12-03-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:bahahah that video is great! great course it looks like... so fast, so tricky... you rat bastards. picking 4 cones out of that last car = priceless.
