Swapped wheels with the E30, bled the clutch, and took it for a spin. The motor starts on the very first kick of the starter, the idle immediately shoots to a perfect 800, no lifter tick once it got warm, pulls well, steering is tight, brake pedal feels amazing (No idea how or why). Mechanically, it's the best Miata I've owned. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as the weather gets nicer and I can bomb around in this.

Saturday after the car show, I'm supposed to meet someone who is giving me a free soft top on the frame if I pull it from his car ~15 minutes from GForce, so I think a bunch of us are going over there to do that after lunch/dinner.

I'll take that bet.

Drove it in the commute this morning and my back was on fire within 10 minutes. Now I remember why I didn't keep my last one.

If I were to pick one thing this will need sooner rather than later, it's a clutch. Otherwise it drives very well and the manual rack is pleasant.

If this isn't a dud engine I'd say primary track car that you can drive on the street when you want and just pick up an actual street fun car in the future and deal with the 4stunner for a few years.
